This was the first time I tried the 90mm wheels. The set was perfectly installed on my Pranayama without any wheel bite. The wheels roll fast and smooth. If you need LDP around rough roads, a set of 90mm wheels is a suitable choice.👍
Thanks @SBDWHK for providing me with a set of Boa Hatchling 90mm prototype wheels for making this video. Stay tuned for more S.B.D.W. LDP squad videos. Enjoy!

Hey Harry! You've probably been asked this a lot but how do you like the Pranayama compared to your old Ember so far? I started watching a lot of your videos as I'm stuck between those two and the Pantheon trip for my new board. I love a good LDP but also super love carving and turning, so trying to figure out which one of the three would be best for my style. Thanks for making these videos and thank you even more if you get the time to answer this! 😆

Thank you for watching😁 In my opinion, It depends on the routes you skate it: Long distance: - Trip (heavy & stable) - Pranayama (lightweight & less stable) Short distance & nimble: - old Ember (if you can still get one🤣) I can share an informative analysis thread of the three decks with you: www.reddit.com/r/longboarding/comments/cp4jt2/pantheon_cruisers_comparison_pranayama_trip_ember/

@@HarryLamHK Of course and yay thanks for replying!! 😄I appreciate it so much. I've been researching so long to figure out a good board that's also pretty short for LDP, while the other board I'd own being a ridiculously long dancing board (just want both worlds 🤣). I do really wish I could get the ember as your rides with it looked so nice. I think I'm leaning toward Pranayama for TKP trucks for tighter turns, although the RKP trucks with the Trip could give a smooth snowboard feel on slopes which sounds sooo lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Pranayama in action!!

I am horrible at foot braking but good at foot wheel braking. I see you do that a lot. Ever have any issues using wheel to slow down?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
The general problem is that the wheels will wear out a little bit faster. For wet roads, the deceleration power will significantly decrease.

Your video show up at the perfect time as I was looking for this wheels to go with my prana. Any wheelbite? What about wheels durability againts chunking? Btw interesting back truck?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK Год назад
I had the same worry before, but I tested it very hard and proved that Pranayama can be installed with offset 90mm wheels or even larger. My weight is 60kg, using 94A & 96A Indy-style trucks currently. I have just tested them for a week. I haven't stepped on the rear wheels to brake. So far it looks very intact.

@@HarryLamHK Any feedback on how the Indy-style trucks compare to the stock Paris trucks? Is there much difference in ride feeling?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK Год назад
@JChou1986 I haven't tried Paris trucks. By the way, when I tried to use 96A after using 92A Indy bushig for the purpose of more stability, I found it less stable because the bushing was too hard for me. It had less sensitivity, which means less control. So, I changed back to 94A(front). It seems perfect for my weight.

The object attached to my back truck is a pair of Nylon Cable Glands.🤣 When 86mm or below wheels are installed, the glands will help the Pranayama vertically lay on the wall without rolling down. When 90mm wheels are installed, the glands even make the Pranayama able to stand vertically on its own.

Hi, so nice video. Harry, what is the white object in the tail? it is handle or a tail kick?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 4 месяца назад
it is an electrical cable connector. I just found that its shape can let the Pranayama stand up by itself.

How is the wheels compared to your previous wheels Caguama 85mm ? I have Pranayama with Caguama 85mm and look for 90mm wheels in purpose of comfortable cruising.
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK Год назад
90mm is much more comfortable due to its physical characteristics. It absorbs more shocks. The rolling resistance is lower at a higher speed. Besides, I am still testing the brick road carving performance of the wheels.

how is switch pushing on Pranayama? I still have my old Ember and didn't want to buy another set of trucks.
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
I think you are comparing Pranayama and Trip. It has no doubt that Trip has better control than Pranayama due to its RKP trucks. I think Pranayama is still very suitable for switching foot stand because the deck is wide enough. If you like a more compact deck, I think Pranayama is a good choice. It is higher stability than Ember because of more drop.

Hi Harry, whats your truck width? Mine is 159mm independent trucks . Afraid I might kick the back wheel
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
My truck width should be 149mm. The outer edges of the wheel nearly align to the edge of the deck.

想問下你呢 我買左decathlon嘅長板drop 100🤣for我普通代步新手挽下 有冇咩評價依塊板
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад

Hi Harry, do you prefer riding with 90mm or 85mm on your pranayama?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
This is a good question that I am still struggling with an absolute answer. Currently, I am still enjoying the larger size of 90mm wheels because of the shock absorption ability, despite the heavier weight of the wheels.
@xyrenz6441
@xyrenz6441 11 месяцев назад
Is there a significant change in the ride height and pushing power from moving up to 90mm? You ride your pranayama so effortlessly!
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
@xyrenz6441 Although 90mm wheels are higher, they absorb more shocks and give a higher maximum speed. It can contribute to effortless pushing. Especially if you go for a long distance trip involved in rough surfaces, it is recommended using 90mm wheels.
@xyrenz6441
@xyrenz6441 11 месяцев назад
Did you ever ended up kicking the back wheels when you were pushing on the 90mm?
@HarryLamHK
@HarryLamHK 11 месяцев назад
@xyrenz6441 No, the only problem is that 90mm wheels are heavier
