He tried to get me to go to teamviewer.com, ammyy.com, and fastsupport.com, all known sites which have the user download remote access programs in order for the "tech support" to do their scamming. These are all legitimate programs which are abused by scammers to do their tricks. Didn't quite make it. Please subscribe for more scamming the scammers vids!

Not really. Hoax said "A as in Alvin & the Chipmunks", and afterwards the scammer asked if he'd watched that movie. The random part was Hoax choosing to mention it in the first place, not the scammer, lol.

+Lynn E I absolutely CRACKED UP at that point! The scammer was so frustrated, he could not think of anything else to say....:-) I wish I had watched all these great anti-spam videos BEFORE I was scammed. Deo gratias, a tech geek friend recovered my computer and scrubbed the registry. I also got my credit card changed and the scammers got caught trying to use the old number to charge $2000 of software. My bank just sent me another statement requesting complete details. I am going to send them an account of the scam, plus the phone numbers of the scammers....

Doing tech support for people who don't understand computers is probably the 7th circle of hell. I'm not sure it gets any worse than that...but then I have no patience, so maybe that's why it seems like a big problem for me.

Stephanie Johnson It depends for me. There's some good ones, and then some LONG ones where the entire entertaining part is just a few minutes near the end. I get wanting to be thorough or informative, but I know some try to be entertaining on top of it and totally whiff because 80% of their 30+ minute video is junk.
