I like that this implies that the Prank Kids unveiled a plot by a greedy landlord to make them leave the Prank Kids Place, buy the land for cheap, then make a shopping mall over it. I'm so here for this.

Holy hell this series is fantastic. I just got back into yugioh a few months ago and it’s been exhausting to research all these new meta archetypes. This is super concise and detailed. Helps know how to play against these decks since I often play rogue ones. Thank you good sir 🙏🏻

With Yugioh not having a set rotation it can be exhausting trying to figure out what archetypes are appealing from a gameplay perspective. I can't stress enough how much I have valued this series as a new player. Were it not for your channel I likely would have just tried a couple archetypes out based on art style alone, not liked the playstyles and dropped the game

GoldenNovaYugioh to me you need to Have a IQ of 175 to make a play. I like decks with simple effects, maybe is that one of the reason I like sevens.

I think Plan would be better if it was a Normal Trap so that you wouldn't have to send it to the GY with Pranks.

I could see that. I'm not an expert on the deck, but I don't feel like you're going to be using the Linking effect any more past the time you initially activate it, so being a normal trap would probably have been an improvement.

If they want to do it right, it definitely needs to be their super-boss monster. It could be a fusion of all 4 main deck monsters, or it could be their link 5. Its tribute effect would be to nuke all other cards on the field, essentially telling everything to “GET OUT OF MY HOOOOOOOOOUSE!!!!

So the name shoulda been Planck-Kids??? Their small size represents this?? I swear the tcg sucks at translating sometimes.

Honestly, while they aren't always bangers, I think they're doing their best. Translating jokes like this from Japanese is HUGE undertaking, and something is ALWAYS going to be caught in translation. For instance, to my understanding, the way Katakana works, their name is essentially Prank AND Planck at the same time. But since English doesn't have that capacity using the same amount of characters, we have to default to whichever has the most obvious meaning, since the cards lack any space where they could explain what a 'Planck' is to educate people on the joke. But I agree that TCG name translations can be pretty frustrating sometimes. Hopefully they'll be able to find a way to make these translations even better in the future.
