🎣 🦐 Is the grey plastic pipe more durable than the blue pvc pipe, ? ... I make my own washer system which has stronger suction power than a tennis ball washer, for me. Why is the tennis ball washer always inserted with the cup facing up, !?! ... There will be Stronger suction with the cup shape facing down,! ... I use something else to insert below my washer system to improve that situation. I shape corks to fit inside the handle ends and in the vertical pipe just under the handle. I put outside clear varnish on the cork ends in the handle, and on the bottom pipe too. No water can get inside pipes. I made two small leather washers, to go on with the bolt and nut, which goes thru under the handle. Can make from rubber too. I file and sand a sloping edge on the bottom of the pipe, from the outside towards the inside, not too much as a narrow edge will get blunt with alot of use over time. This lets the pump push into the sand and mud Very Much easier then a flat edge,! The difference is felt after pumping a long time,! I improved a blue pvc pump which had a pair of rivets in the vertical pipe just under the handle. To get the pvc plunger pipe out, I had to drill the rivets out. I had to get the handle off which was glued on too, then I could pull the pipe out below. Then I installed my washer system. I inserted a pair of bolts and nuts where the riverts were when I replaced the tennis ball washer. Those pumps have a shorter main pipe. It was a cheaper pump but a hassle to work on. I also have an Alvey steel bait suction pump. I never submerge my pumps under the water to "clean" them after using, as this lets sandy water get inside,! I suck up some cleaner water and fresh water later on. That is what works for me,! 🎣-- 🦐-🐟 🦐-🐟 --🎣
