Prayer of Forgiveness to Saint Maria Goretti - Patron Saint of Chastity, Youth, Poverty, and Purity
We all struggle with forgiveness. We find it so difficult to move on after loved ones, friends, co-workers, and even strangers hurt us. We hold grudges and we remember the words and actions we choose not to let go. In these difficult and trying times, we must pray for the intercession of Saint Maria Goretti as she is a beautiful example of true forgiveness. Through her suffering and even after her death, she forgave her transgressor. Even greater in her forgiveness, she prayed that he be in Heaven with her when his time on earth was complete. May we be like Saint Maria Goretti and not forgive only our transgressors seven times, but seventy-seven times. May her love and faith be a beacon of light to all of us who struggle with forgiveness. Saint Maria Goretti, pray for us. Amen.
