Big thanks to Stardock for sponsoring today's video, Sins of a Solar Empire 2 is out on Steam on August 15th, check it out here: steam.gs/l/157jf/Rimmy And more importantly check out the world-first look at the cinematic trailer at 18:19! It's incredibly cool of them to offer us exclusive access to releasing this trailer, and I love the work they did with it. Sins 2 has been nothing but a joy to play, and each time we stop playing and start editing I'm left wanting to play more of the game. It's loads of fun.
Aesthetic? Yes. I wouldn't really call their motives comparable though. The Covenant are a conglomerate of many species that want to kill humanity because they think the gods want them to. The Advent were humans that want to destroy the TEC because they branded them as deviants and exiled them 1000 years ago. The Advent are motivated by revenge.
Both tec factions can largely be the unsc The Advent can largely as you say just be the covenant BUT the only thing missing is the race diversity that the covenant bring is not there here And the vasari loyalist faction is really the flood, the can consume planets and be nomadic that way without a real economy
RIMMY BRINGS US THE UNITY AND A RELEASE DATE AND A TRAILER!!!! (I'm so glad, the last video was amazing. I think we need a Rimmy Vasari playthrough next!)
Aw yeah, the angry psychic space crusader ladies are back. Been playing Sins of the Prophets while waiting for 2 to drop, super excited that it's releasing so soon. The Eradica looks as badass as ever, but man the Giant Rectangle Gun of the TEC is also glorious.
@@Captpolak You mean they sound like the voices in SIns of a Solar Empire :P It predates LoL by almost two years (3 if you count the public beta). Most of the same voice actors have returned to reprise their roles; rerecording the original lines and adding a ton of new ones.
I literally cannot wait for this to be out, Sins has been one of my alltime favourite games and to see it expanded on and improved so much has me excited beyond belief. The start of the trailer with the Kol battleship is just absolute perfection
Looking very forward to the Advent release! Been an absolute blast playing it even when it was a technical preview until this day. A great sequel with a great future for sure!
Love the energy you guys put into these videos Can't wait to play this myself when it comes out, and am even more excited to see the conversion mods we'll be getting for it as well.
The moral lesson of the Advent in the Sins of a Solar Empire setting ... maybe the TEC should of let the strange cybernetic psychic cousins they encountered alone and not created thier literal worst enemy. XD
ah yes, the advent, human waifu covenant with space magic instead of forerunner tech, the TEC has dismissed the claims of their existence but in all seriousness "human covenant" may be one of the best ways to describe the advent lmao
I wish there's was a mod for the first sins game to add all the factions from vanilla, sins of a galactic empire, sins of the prophets, star trek amada in one game so you can have one massive different faction space war. The Titan at 11:37 I totally remember from the first game and it will fit perfectly into halo.
War spamming corvettes gives me ptsd flashbacks from when I lost a sins tournament to a guy who zerg rushed me (I had a titan up like 7 minutes in, but stood no chance against 500 something corvettes lol)
It's kind of like the Warthog in Halo Wars, they're not the best at much of anything, but they're cheap, you get them early, and they're fast. And that is typically all she wrote in many RTS unless they're instantly hard countered, and even then who knows.
This looks fantastic, but honestly I'm more excited for the total-conversion mods that I know are coming, particularly _Star Trek: Armada IV_ and _Sins of the Prophets 2._
Honestly, I love watching people play Sins of a Solar Empire, but whenever I consider trying to actually play it, I realise that I'm not nearly good enough at games like this xD
Its as hard as ya make it, a small 1v1 map with an easier AI is always a good starting point, its not as heavy of micro as youd think unless you have a pretty large map and Sins has a very helpful quick access tab for jumping between planets/fleets
Yeah no need to be ‘good’ at it. Only tryhard PvP’ers will tell you that you need to do something a certain way. Just play the way you want; this game provides a lot more ways to have fun besides being good than Sins 1 did, and Sins 1 was already great at it.
AUGUST 15TH??? #Acadiandaysweep glory to the real french. Cant wait to play sins of a soos II as its one of the few upcoming games rimmy consistently enjoyed and recommended over multiple videos
thanks for the video love it. also can't wait for the star trek mod to get recreated for this, the borg ai from the original would be the best challange yall can face.
I just love how all the adds for this game say release on the 15th yet those of us in Australian that in the wrong time zone has to wait until the 16th 🤣
Honestly one thing I think this game lacks is some sort of dynamic borders changing with the planets themselves revolving around the sun. While watching the video its sometimes hard for me, a colorblind moron, to see what planet belongs to who.
Not at launch. Sins is a sandbox first and foremost, while SC2 is a competitive RTS. Basically, sins has a lore-rich universe, and then it's up to you to explore and play in it. That said, I think they are making a campaign mode in a future expansion or DLC, which should be sweeeeeeet.
Part and parcel of our crumbling infrastructure. My family had the good fortune to live on the same grid as a grocery store, meaning our outages after storms or whatever tended to be very short. It's one thing when citizens or even paying customers suffer a bit, but letting product in freezers rot? Never, not here.
Loved the video @RimmyDownunder! Can't wait for the next video man! The Advent is really the Human Covenant and that Trailer goes real Hard man! Here's an idea for the Next video of "Sins of a Solar Empire 2"..... You, Otz and War each take a Fleet from the "Trade Federation" and try to beat back the Advent and other Hostile Factions across the Universe. Think of Yourselves as the Galactic Republic, but not with Clones but Humans instead! Imagine going against Very Hard or Even Unfair Advent Forces as a Single Force to take the Fight to the Advent Homeworld, wherever it may be. We all know that..... *The Mobile Infantry can get the Job done. Stay tuned for more reports from the Frontlines against the Advent, All Net, All Channels!* Sorry, had to get some Starship Troopers out of me LMAO! Also, @Nagzz is looking for some Modded Mayhem in ArmA and I Recommended you to bring him along for a Tour of Vietnam with the "SOG: Prairie Fire" Mod. Would that be alright with you on your next Op? Because he hasn't played since ArmA 2.... So, he'll probably be at least an Observer just to see how things go with ArmA 3 with or without Mods. Let me know what you think about this and I'll catch you in your next video man!
Strength the unity, unity ligth mi pass, we bring the ligth, regvenge awaits, we bring the unity ligths to all, comand us, indeed, the anima are wrestrle, die die, ravage theyre will, hedins shall be purge,
Hey Rimmy, I was wondering if you heard of Unconventional warfare? It’s a game where you tried to get out of an hostile country using child soldiers (Probably not the best explanation, but not an inaccurate one) It also has ww1 french tank that you can use. Just has a warning, the game is incomplete and I am not sure if the version you can buy is different from the demo yet, but what you got is very good.
i've played this game a fair bit on epic games with my dad, hoping the update goes to there as well, other than that, looking forward to this update a lot, seeing as the loading screens are Advent even though the only races i've been able to play as have been Vasari and TEC
@@Unikraken thanks, really looking forward to it, especially since i'm always trying to spread culture as much as possible anyway, so i might really enjoy Advent
something I would like to say is for you to check out line war again since a lot has changed since you did your video on it a couple years ago including ai and singleplayer/co-op being added
