That car was really burning that was a huge amount of flames good thing it was parked on the curb and not in a driveway close to the house. It has a temp tag on it so someone just recently bought it that really sucks feel bad for the owner
Good job by the nozzleman, but the other two guys need to bring a tool with them, so they don't have to go back to the truck to get one. Good to see them using SCBA, but I don't know why the chief needs gear on if he's not doing anything....
@@Jimmythefish577 An example of what??? Walking around doing nothing?? Why is he even there?? Bring a truck with water or something, or at least carry a water can to knock down the fire a bit. Something, ANYTHING....
Wonder what Eta was from first call to 911 to actual fire truck arrival on scene time. I bet 15 mins at least. Again Not captain/chief/asst chief suv’s but actual fire truck.
i live on the street and was outside when the fire started, someone hit and ran the driver of the car so they pulled over and parked the car to call the police and while they were inside the house there car caught fire. so lucky they weren’t inside
If you look at the model in this video, it is a Hyundai Kona, which from what I’ve seen on the internet is electric. I wish we could post the screenshot from this video showing the model name below the deck lid.
There is a gas version of the Kona, which this was. If you look closely, you'll see a gas door on the driver's side. This was NOT the electric Kona. The electric version, the charging port is on the front end of the car.
I agree with the other 2 replies, this is definitely a gas Kona. I'm not surprised, Hyundai makes *excellent* EVs but I've heard their gas engines have a habit of catching fire, at least on some models and years. I'm not sure if this one would be included in the fire-prone ones.
@@bradmagnuson6963 looks like a brand new Hyundai Kona... the fire was inside. still could be a torch job but if not then it will be a waranty claim vs insurance... I had a Brand spankin new Pickup truck burn up years ago due to a malfunction... sucked asd it took 6 months to get a new one
It was a gas car, if you look closely. It was a gas Hyundai Kona.. if you do a full screen, you'll see the gas door on the driver's side. This was NOT an electric car.
That car was cooking, hopefully there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
I'm waiting for all the electric car haters to point fingers. If you do a full screen on this, it's actually a gas car, as you'll see the gas door on the driver's side
@@bradmagnuson6963 Your going to get haters unfortunately. The only thing that I don't care for with electric vehicles is, that if they catch fire they are very hard to put out. I hope you have a great day Brad 🙂⚘️.
I started watching before I read the description and I thought it looked like a cross was burning! I was like WTF??!! Then I read the description and you moved a little so that I could make out that there was a car burning. Thankfully it turned out to be a car instead. You and the firemen did a great job on this one! Car fires can be a bitch to put out and they got it done quickly.
That's an ICE car. See the gas door on the car? If it was an EV, you wouldn't see that on this car(hyundai kona). On the electric kona, the charging port is on the front end
