I'm absolutely dismayed at the amount of time it took for water to be put in this fire? I know the house was going to be a complete loss however, the home owner or renter doesn't know this and expects that someone, mainly a fire department will be responding quickly and water will be put on the fire in a timely manner? I find it amazing you had numerous command staff from different agencies arrive on scene fairly quickly, however it took well over 10 minutes before a working fire apparatus arrived, and even then it took a long time for water? In a city this large, it seems very odd that response time was so long? Sorry to be critical, but this video showed some serious problems?
They were quick onviously procedure is for response team who are pyoberly licals to get there so when teams come wuth their proberky heavy hises they can gelp connect them up and roll them out good idea for all countries to follow this procedure well 👍👍❤
Everything is fucking destroyed. Holy shit, where is the fucking fire department?! What the hell is even the point of putting it out by time they got there? Jfc.
If you have never done it people, don’t criticize the Firefighters. You simply have no idea how much we have to do while all of you are filming and yelling “Do something!” It just aggravates me with everyone of these videos that the one behind the camera knows what should be done. Then go to the Fire academy and do it.
So it looks like it took approximately 4.8 minutes from the time the first company arrived to first water on the fire. Yesterday the Boston fire department struck the box and within 2 1/2 minutes of that transmission first arriving engine company had water on the fire. That’s 2 1/2 minutes from the time the box was struck to first water on the fire. That’s impressive but again, that’s the Boston fire department.
Remember these are volunteers no pay alot of danger, they are badass for doing this. There main job is to not let the fire spread to other structures. They are not aggressive like payed highly experienced departments. They are wonderful people doing a very hard job.
Genuine question from the UK. We don't have the same system of sending Cheifs out ahead of the trucks. In these videos there always seems to be multiple fire cars at the scene long before the trucks arrive and I understand why. But is it not possible to have a hose in the back of all Fire Cheif cars that can connect to a hydrant? At least so they can start throwing water at a fire prior to the big hoses coming out? Serious question! Theres probably a technical reason why not but i'm curious.
Kid with the reciprocating saw was on point!!! As opposed to the "No one has a fire extinguisher" guy which at that point into the fire was just plain idiotic.
I'm really not being critical of the firefighters because that residence was gone when they arrived, but I do have a question regarding the lack of water supply. As a former firefighter in a township with very few hydrants, we learned to draft from wherever we could find water. The first few shots of the neighborhood showed a big lake in the middle of everything, hence the name. Why not draft from it, that's kind of what the hard suction is for. If there is such a water shortage in that community, put a few dry hydrants along the lake.
Don't most Police cars carry a big extinguisher in their trunk (usually for motor vehicle fires) which all should have been deployed there; 5 or 6 of them would have been useful in the garage while the FD ate lunch, played a few hands of poker and took a nap on scene before getting water going.
As a firefighter I am so thankful when PD shows up. Respect what he is asking and do it, don't argue and claim your rights. There are actual people attacking that fire internally and externally. There is no telling what your presents will cause whether you are 20ft away or 100ft.
My presence will not affect operations at all… I do respect cops on the daily as my friends are some, I’ve also showed this video to them and they said this cop was most likely new on the job and fired up, treating me this way is no way to gain respect either just remember that.
You got to be joking. 😂 From where he was standing he wasn’t interfering with firefighting operations with so ever. He needs to be worried about traffic control and keep people from running over the hoses.
man those police.. good samaritan citizens trying to save the guy in the garage only to get told to "BACK UP BACK UP!" man, fuck those cops. and the amount of cops there, looks more like the response to a riot at costco or something...
Extremely fast response by the fire department. Very unusual when it comes to American fire brigades where it usually takes minutes to get the first water! Very impressive effort!
I used to still living in New Jersey? I know brick very well. I know people who live there I wonder and hope that they’re OK but I don’t think they live on that road.
