@EmergencyGuy I can clearly tell you're not a fire fighter. It doesn't matter if it's an automatic alarm, you always dress like it's the real thing.

​@EmergencyGuy as stated above. It doesn't matter if it is a fire alarm call or a structure fire call. Packs should be on. Fire alarms go off for a reason. They are there to alert when there is a fire, as was the case here. If I were a taxpayer in this community I would not be happy about firefighters showing up not ready to go to work.

@@CarTalesCrew Many places dont wear packs on the roof even for fires, Chicago and Boston are the first that come to mind

I mean, nothing is visible, so I guess it's easier to command and control the door for accountability of crews going in and out of the structure

That's what I said in my comment. Then someone had the audacity to say to me "because its an automatic fire alarm" to which I replied it doesn't matter, you always treat it like the real thing

Nope! It's meant for rehab, but they utilized it for heat, for the staff of the building who (maybe) didn't have vehicles. It was 10 Fahrenheit with a brisk wind throughout this incident

Certainly, that might be the case if there was any indication that the structure might collapse, or any evidence that something down the road could lead to a collapse. I don't see any of that here.
