There are so many who look past or believe that the only true artifacts are grooved polished or sharp. Most of the arrowheads and other recognizable artifacts are gone or very hard to find. I find it fascinating to explore stone tools used to make stone tools. Many of these I come to recognize through patterns in areas where these ancient inhabitants were known to have been.

Keep doing what you are doing and dont listen to the negative comments. I live in Northern Kentucky and like Ohio, artifacts are everywhere. The only way we are gonna learn more is to figure it out for ourselves because the science and collectors of Native American history have an arrogant closed minded attitude that isnt gonna tell us anything. Skepticism is the only way anything advances, questioning the knowledge you have to learn more but seems like everybody associated with Native American artifacts is a know it all who just cant resist smart ass comments no matter what you post. If you were showing arrowheads, they would label half of them as fake

basalt grindstones/ no, natural formations. flat on one side? what if it sat flat in the (sand) for a long time and it just got smoothed on the bottom?

+MsConstrued1 I find it sometimes hard to really show on video the indents and ground out areas made to fit the hand and fingers. This is one of several that I have found that are not formed by nature. Some are basalt, some quartz, some granite. All of these rocks fracture differently then obsidian, flint or chert and so they were crafted through the method of pecking and grinding, somewhat like sculpting. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Ohio is full of those....and they are not all artifacts but naturally shaped that exact way. Am afraid if you view all like this that your going to loose one of the most important thing in your findings and that is doing more study and research before making a conclusion. I love your zeal for this and hope you some day even find big foot...lol

It's ironic that you come to such a conclusion about how much I have studied. None-the-less if indeed you have found stones exactly like these stones then I would submit that they are also artifacts. Quantity does not necessarily determine authenticity.

@@WilliamShira very true indeed' near 4000 years of human inhabitation and their shaping from stone the many and various types of tools' implements used for many tasks.. is bound to leave a heap' of artifacts.. thumbs up to William Shira' .. thumbs down to all those ignorant' ones who are unable to use their common senses at least enough so as to let ones who are able to' use logic to assess and determine a usage' and is kind enough to share what they have found.. thanks to the sensible' the wise' for your considerations..

@@len2842 I have a whole collection of those--holes made when a stone gets trapped and start to swirl grinding the hole out.
