I just found your channel today and have enjoyed the videos I have watched so far. I am currently working on getting my teaching degree and would love to teach Pre-K. It is such a fun age! I was wondering if you could do a video showing the process of your lesson planning?Like how you take the standards and the curriculum plus your ideas to make a lesson

And Mrs.Lankford,you lift me up out of that sadness,by your joy and positivity towards those children,who are the keepers of the future! There are others on RU-vid. Yes. Absolutely. Teachers in this country are shamefully underappreciated. But I appreciate ALL of you! My oldest niece is a pre-K teacher,and she has the most wonderful stories!😊
I’m curious how integrated your class/pre-K is with your school? I work in a district that has preschool but the school we’re at makes us feel so awful and in the way. We aren’t included in meetings, barked at for our families waiting in the pick up line…so much so I do not want to return next year even tho it’s my passion working in the early education field. I love watching all of your content!! On the days that I feel like quitting, I watch your videos and look up lessons and it makes me excited for what I do….and then I get to school and reality slaps in the face again! Ay yi yi! Anyways, thanks again for making these videos!
I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't imagine feeling like that. We are included in everything and even get to do some "bonus" events because we are the little guys. I hope things change for you or you find a better environment. Pre-K matters!
What if i just wanted to do vpk at a public school. What schooling would I need? Would it be just the cda, 45hr and the other certificates you need from the dcf trainings?
I’m not sure about every school district but for mine, you would need a bachelors degree and we also are required some dcf trainings throughout the year.
I'm an prek assistant at an elementary school in florida and my teacher who is really considered an instructor only need a CDA or an AA or AS Degree. She has a bachelor's degree. I have 60+ credit hours but not an actual degree. I have tons of experience subbing, working as a para in others grades. This is my 3rd year working as a PRE-K para at the same school and teacher. I'm working on completing my CDA for preschool. I'm on my last class and need to finish some of my competency statements. After that I need to have someone come in and observe me and then take the test. I want to teach my own PreK class so this is why I'm working so hard to get there. Your info has helped me alot.
