See two pre-match football trades: Aston Villa v Leeds: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2muLfkijpr4.html and Man Utd v Arsenal : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MsoLDoFXs60.html
Thank you very much Caan for this follow up video, it was explained very well and straight forward, i fully recommend everyone to checkout the last two videos also it will help your pre match trading, having a base and foundation to know what to focus on really helps! On another note backing favourites who go a goal behind at value odds works well in the Chelsea game tonight was shown to good effect when you see the in game stats, thanks again and looking forward to future vids!
Really appreciate your insights here as I've given trading a miss the past few months as work has been too stressful hence no clear mind to start again. Now with things calmer this has been invaluable thank you
Great video again. Really interesting the punters perception viewpoint. The other week there was a man utd match i expected to drift after the team news. But the price steamed in a bit. I'm guessing this was because the man utd punters didn't see the team news as being a problem for them and that they would still have a bet on them winning anyways. Miight have been the recent defeat vs the turkish team in the champions league. So their perception was different to the reality in that instance which i wasn't able to recognise.
love your videos Caan they are very helpfull ,im mostly in to football and watched every video out there about trading football markets, must say this must be the best info ever regarding pre match football trading ! keep it up please :) Cheers from Denmark
Cheers Hamand. Long time follower there I see! Thanks... its hard to find the incentive to keep things up with ad rev so low but comments like this make it worth it.
Really cool and informative video again Caan and compliments the previous two no end. I’ve gone for Spurs today against West Brom based on team news and expectation. Wish me luck!
The best opportunity I had spotted for pre match trading was on Portuguese League Cup few season ago between Santa Clara and Olivais e Moscavide. There was some news of very poor management on Olivais e Moscavide team and very serious doubts if they will have 11 players to play. Since it was very lower reputation match when I check the market on betfair the liquidity was very low but I was able to back Santa Clara at 2.50 five days before match. When the match kickoff Santa Clara odds were around 1.70, huge profit. In a top league match it's almost impossible to find an opportunity like that because market reaction is immediate
Nice info here I'm guessing that we could have a lot of covid related price changes in the next few months. Enjoyed watching your videos over the last fews weeks as been off work with a slipped disc also ordered a few more books to increase my knowledge. Have you ever read 'The Numbers Game - Why everything you know about football is wrong' by Chris Anderson and David Sally? I read it a while back but think I'm going to have to dig it out again to read as feel it might have some good strategy ideas in it.
Took me a while to understand odds when I started betting, but I made tons of money, once netting 10k on a £150, 3- accumulator wager. Since I understood odds properly though, it's much harder winning and I wish there was a way to not understand it again. I used to win much easily until odds became clearer to me, so point is that there is an awful lot of manipulation in odds.
Hi Caan Berry I have watched many RU-vid videos with you, you are a good teacher. Have some questions for you: Is there a back/lay calculator for excel, or can you recommend an online calculator. I start here on 1/12 with a deposit of 58 British pounds, (67 Euro) is that enough to start with on Betfair? Regards, Erling
Excellent stuff as usual. Re the game you highlight. How would you scan for the fact one team has had virus positive results that day etc ? How can we keep up todate with all this info on all the teams ? By the time you may find out , it's too late. Do you use Tweet deck for example ? Thanks as always.
You're close there, but you'll need to find some creative ways to catch info quicker than most in some instances... not going to put that up on RU-vid, unfortunately!
Hello Caan, thanks for the tuts and tips. Do you have a video on how to use the wisdom of crowd on betfair or any other betting exchange? I kinda new to this strategy. Thanks in advance.
On pre match trades people typically stake a lot more than they would on in play trades as there is a lot less risk. It isn't unusual for people to use their whole bank on these types of trades but if you're just starting then I wouldn't advise that. Start small and then when you know you're profitable you can scale up as you please.
5:20 , confuses hell out of me, when you see "To Back" Column, and you call it "FOR", and "To Lay" Column, and you call it "AGAINST"... isn't the other way around ???
I don't get how to read the volumes on betfair. Those £ 69.970 at 1.57 in back, means that the odd will drop? cause in terms of volume the lay has more volume...could you please explain in a simple way? Thanks Caan
Hey Can, I love your stuff, but I'm here in the USA, so I can't get betfair or betdaq. A lot of my friends use bovada.lv though, is that a sports book or an exchange betting site?
Never heard of it. Would be careful, lots of iffy outfits out there. The reason these exchanges aren't available there is due to regulation I believe... which means nobody should be able to get around it, right?
Thank you Berry for the info I've received from your videos and the infogol site you recommended for EPL, I WON A SMALL AMOUNT TODAY USING YOUR STRATEGY.
