Please do remember that these tier-list videos are all SUBJECT TO PERSONAL OPINION, so if we place your favorite character lower than your standards, we don't intend to hurt anyone's feelings in that way. Also, this is not to be taken as complete factual information as we do realize there are a number of "hot takes" throughout the rankings. This is simply our cultivated thoughts put together into one tier-list, which also means that each of our individual tier-lists would look different (as will most peoples' tier-lists).

I think it's an ok tierlist but you guys are sleeping on Baizhu. This guy trivialize so much content, easy to build, has insane 4 stars weapon options. Even outside of dendro he is insane. Healing with skill, less than 1 second field time required, etc.

Childe is A tier for sure. International gotta be like top 5 teams in the game and childe also does like 500k+ per rotation while being mainly a driver for xiangling is not small damage

I'm no ganyu main, in fact I don't like her play style at all. But you didn't even mention her off-field cryo application or that she's 1 of 4 characters that have a taunt. Same for Ayato, didn't mention his off field hydro, but tbf he has alot more competition in that reguard. Also it would help if you set up rules on the beginning on how you're going to be rating characters C0 or C6 Stand alone or with supports 5* or 4* weapons / (BiS or signature) It seems like some characters were judged in their more optimal set ups with supports (ex Nilou and hutao) while others were stand alone (Xiao and wanderer) and some were based at they're best cons (Raiden and Nahida) It's better if they're judged on a more even playing field

legit think this tier list is pretty reasonable, people let their emotions overrate certain characters massively, a lot of 5 stars are massively powercrept lately, all the sumeru fountain characters sweep old 5* under the rug completely

pretty solid tierlist , id just get baizhu in A and replace couple chars and its perfect for me, i like how u both view the characters and ill definitely watch more in this channel

I would say I don’t mind the discussion it gives clarity on reasons each of the characters places. However please give something of a guideline for the entire tier list. You can talk about one characters cons and then not about all the others. Also please mention entire kits. I get venti isn’t strong anymore, doesn’t change the fact that he also gives energy refund to his team. Also maybe pull abyss runs usages as a reference next time, I know that’s subject to change. Also saying a character only has one team is not really that of bad side. If that team is easy to build, cheap and still puts out good team damage then it’s a good team and should be rated on its merits. Still enjoyed the video. Just giving ideals out to make it better next time

as a ganyu main i kinda agree with this (even though i would rather put her in the c tier) for ganyu to be actually comfortable to play you have to bring a shielder (or anyone who can give interruption resistance), which will result in a loss of dps & utility. otherwise you just won’t manage to hit anyone, especially if you play melt (xiangling kinda forces you to play in melee range). her safest option is to play freeze, but as you said, freeze is just NOT great rn. she’s also veeery crit hungry because if you don’t always crit with her charge attack it’s a huge dps loss its kinda sad bc ganyu was AMAZING back in the day and now bringing her to abyss is literally just a pain in the ass

Great tier list. Hard to argue with the S Tier. The challenges of tier lists in Genshin are: (1) You need to make sure that people know the niche the character fills and are they the best/worst in that niche. For example Neuvillette is arguably THE BEST DPS in the whole game ... but he's a horrible support for other characters because he's not making them better (aside from incidentally with hydro resonance). I think you made that point, but if you look up a lot of tier lists, many split off into DPS, Sub-DPS, Offensive Support and Defensive Support (3-4 categories, not just the general "who is the best?"). (2) One point that I think doesn't get enough air time (and it's hard to weigh) is ease of use and how easy they are to build. My hot take is that Ayato should be "A" Tier. He's so easy to build (gladiator's set, and F2P weapon is Kazuha's Quest sword, which we all get, or the craftable sword from Inazuma). He's ultra-flexible as a hydro unit: vape, freeze, hyper-bloom, bloom, and electro-charge teams. Last he gives both damage and off-field hydro application. As a pure DPS, of course there is a better option: Neuvillette. But Ayato is so flexible, I can roam the open world without having to worry about DPS or hydro. I routinely clear the Abyss with him on side (usually soup or hyperbloom or vape teams). (3) What to do with a niche character? Do we grade them in their niche only? Do we put them in the middle if they suck outside their niche? Hard to say. My favorite example is Nilou. We're obviously rating her in a super bloom team (where she is amazing) but what can she do outside of that? No one is seriously using her in vape teams or freeze or even hyperbloom, which are all teams she could theoretically fit. Just look at the Abyss usage rates, she's never in anything but super bloom teams, which is her niche. So, does that make her "A" tier? Does it make her "S" Tier? Hard to say. (4) Multi-role characters. I won't rehash my Ayato rant, I will say this for me is a character like Xianyun. She's offensive support (plunge), defensive support (healing) and not a bad DPS either. I think she is correctly in "A" Tier or "S" because there is so much she does. Not to mention she's great for exploration. And that's the segway into the last bit... (5) Are we only considering the Abyss? Or are we looking at exploration too? Because a heavy hitter like Alhaitham dominates the Abyss, but does little l for exploring the world. Fine he can blink/teleport just like Keqing and Chiori but Wanderer flies, Kazuha and Xianyun leap Xiao can dash (in the air), and Venti floats. Ayaka, Kokomi and Furina literally walk on water. All claymore characters are good at mining, and so is Zhongli. Some 5*s can spot local specialties/flowers on your map. Some 5*s give crafting bonuses for weapons like Zhongli or Raiden Shogun. Kazuha can group the items dropped by defeated enemies ... I digress, I just wanted to highlight the many considerations in playing Genshin and if you're never going to the Abyss then you have different considerations. Like I said, great tier list, and Vyxen, Ryft, and Anddad do a great analysis and I don't really disagree with any placement except Ayato. I just wanted to highlight some points for others to consider, especially if they're new to the game and to explain why making a tier list in Genshin is actually pretty hard and why the viewer/reader really needs to know what the factors for the tier list are. Some people even break it into Abyss tier list or exploration tier list.

Raidens energy regen is not overrated. My xiangling is not c4 and suffered from bursting every rotation but with Raiden overload team, my xianglings energy is always full after 9-10s

I think there should be 2 categories of tierlist, one for 1-3 targets and the other for aoe. I'd say try copy how hsr made their tierlist, bcs some characters excel at single whilst some at aoe. Nilou for example is a queen of aoe but when it's single target boss, she would do less damage. Imo mixed up both category in one tierlist, just make thing seems unorganized and it's complicated for people to understand.

1:28:17 ah yes, kokomi, who single target heals while you have to be close to a not movable jelly and does nothing else whike also being unable to froc fav codex Then xianyun with oarty wide healing, also is anemo, can hold VV, can hold ttds like koko, but also fav. Not only that, she enables plunging, which in of itself would be able to bring claymore characters into a plunging meta. But her own passive is so good that your main character could literally be talent level one with a well build xianyun and you can clear abyss Such similar characters

Hello I love the tier list but I have a small question , I need a Cryo dps I don't have any and for Imaginarium Theater I need to have more characters in case they put Geo , Cryo , Dendro ( these are the least amount of characters I have ). For cryo I heard Ayaka was very good cryo dps but she was very strict she needs 3 characters that are 5* ( shenhe , kazuha, kokomi ) plus you need her signature and shenhe signature , but still she is burst dependent and has er issues and further more some people say that her dash mechanic is weird not comfortable to use and even some people say she needs c2 to shine and also c1 shenhe is a must and now this all sounds "Expensive" I mean I have kazuha and kokomi but getting at least 2 more 5* characters and 2 more 5* weapons is little EXPENSIVE . For cryo I heard there was a cheaper option called Wriothesley he is good and strong can work in a lot of teams like freeze ,melt, burn, fridge and ect. I heard he dosent need other 5* characers like ayaka does ,but he does lower dmg than Ayaka I dont know how true is this and I wanted to ask everyone for help ? I know there is Ganuy I have her she is strange and clunky to play Who should I chose ? or none and wait for a new cryo dps ?

Arlachino is obviously the better character no question, you can run her in vape, mono pyro, overload. You can group enemies with her teams, her synergy with Bennet is better, her dose window is as long and short as you want. You frontload the damage. Her AOE is better But who's still believing that xingqiu yelan and zhongli is even close to the plunge team

Like, nahida's skill can do similar damage in an aggravate comp, and nahida's is often left on horrible builds cuz she offers SO MUCH that you forget her damage is an essential part of her kit Zhongli in a geo team is border line useless, he only gives you 20% res shread and a shield, but itto has int. Res. Crystalize shields and is a defense scalar, so he's very redundant, replace him. Gorou is not very good at his job, and hes also a defence buffer, not a geo buffer Why didnt we just get a geo buffer steroid whi could bring up the performance of navia, itto and albedo. instead, now we just have a trash redundant no reason to pull character (albedo) and a very non meta new character If they were gonna do what they did. Then her double geo core of her and zhongli should've been adjusted number wise to be a top meta core, so if other characters can function on two characted cores (nevi, furina. Xiao, faruzan etc). Then this should've became their best comp
