In this video, I am Pre Spawn Crappie Fishing. The crappie are starting to stage for the 2021 spawn. The staging has just started, and I didn't know if the crappie were going to be there or not. We were able to find quite a few early staging slab crappie. I will be having plenty more vidoes coming from this spot, as the fishing will be way to good in the next up coming months. I am on lake Palestine in Tyler Texas in this video. Water temp was 50-52 during the filmin of this video! Now that we had the winter storm temps are back down to 39-40. I went out and caught 4 Crappie and 1 bass. They were all small tho', only one keeper!! Maybe because the Barometer showed extremely high pressure

Kerr lake crappie bandit here. Glad to see you on Hyco Lake. Built a few homes on Hyco. the water by the plant stays warm year round, help grow big fish. Not good to eat to many of them though. Have been warnings.

They will start staging around 50 degrees or so. The spawn here in Texas is just about over. Y’all should be getting into it, but with that snap it definitely will push them back into deeper water. Colder the water, the deeper they will go!

What’s the advantage of such a long rod?

More sensitive I would say it the biggest advantage. I can feel bite I wouldn’t feel if I was using a stiffer 6-8 foot rod. Usually in a boat, fishing brush piles you don’t want to be right over the pile, you might spook the fish. So having a longer rod allows you to not get to close.

See there also some these regular hotspots are gone thin down some I think your livescopers are going to be fishing different locations than the crowded spots an in return it’s going to be less crowded more fish I think now I get a headache when I think to much but I have caught limits all year by the piles doing it the cheap boy way keep it up I love beating the livescopers that I know an they haven’t caught near like me lol

I am on a sunken bridge. Water was around up to my knees. It’s the old road bed before they flooded the lake. Creek channel runs underwater the bridge.
