Servicing cables is something I've never done, and really have no idea about. Something I need to check out!

Good, comprehensive, checklist. Other stuff is obvious (I know you know) but can be missed e.g. charge phone, dashcam, comms etc. Have cash available + any required docs (passport etc. Not applicable for the vast expanses of the US, eh 😊). Cheers, Andy.

Thanks Andy, wasn't actually sure about uploading this one as I felt I hadn't communicated well in it :D Oh I never even thought of the actual stuff to bring actually I just more thought of it from a bike perspective. I might have to do that one. Haha true, the US is so easy to travel around in.

Air Hawk a must for road trips. People spend big bucks experimenting with seats. I find the slight cushion of air is a butt saver.

I used it once and wasn't for me, my seat is okish most of the time. But my wife has loved hers this trip we're currently on :)

Clean hands . . . Put the soap on your hands before your start. A bar of ordinary soap, very, very little water. Rub the soap into your hands thoroughly until your hands are dry. Get your hands dirty and wash them afterwards with washing up liquid. Can't wear gloves in this humidity anyway, I would prefer not to wear anything. It really is too hot for spannering.... A good aide memoire video. 👍

I somehow missed this one sorry! I've always had an issue where I have zero patience, the little sand bits work well. But I used to use brake cleaner a lot :D Yeah here now too, it's like a sauna in the garage for the next few months, worth it though! Thanks :)

Would I argue that America is a much more car centric hole than Ireland is? But you dont have to worry about being a fair weather rider in the states anymore. Is that hoodie waterproof?

It is definitely more car centric, in my experience anyway, than Ireland. Mind you Ireland is not great either, Germany and Italy etc have a good blend I think. Sadly it is not.
