This channel started as a bit of fun and took off from there :) I like to go to interesting places on my bike around Ireland and video it....with some chatter, to put up here. I also do bike reviews as well as gear reviews, hopefully many more of them coming soon :) What else goes on? Podcasts, bike swaps with other, trips, bike events and live streams to name just a few. This channel isn't focused on any one thing unless you can call my love of all things motorcycle one thing :)
If you do stop by please leave a comment! I try reply to every single one. Either way thanks for checking out my channel and please subscribe if you enjoy it :)

Check your email for link to rear sets for the Z900 RS .You tube won't let me post the link .I use rear sets on the street all the time and I am 193cm /6'4 ins.
Are the rearsets for track use only? Will you revert to stock when you are riding on the road? The ideal bike for me for combined track and road riding would be the BMW M1000R (but like the Tuono, it is a touch out of my budget). I had the same issue with top end speed with the Griso. It was the only time I felt like I did not have enough power (or top speed) was on a track day. Another reason that I am building the RSV as a track bike.
No I'd leave them on all the time I'm far too lazy to be swapping them every time 😂 Yes that is definitely one that's all the way up there too! Stupid money. :( Yeah exactly, plenty for the road, more than enough in fact but just feels flat at times on the track! I can't wait to see that :)
I didn't appreciate the grounding while watching your laps. That would definitely scare me!!! Not that I would be getting my knee down anyway 😂😂 Get the rear sets and slicks, then save for the Tuono - I know I'm no bloody help at all, but I thought I'd say it anyway 😂😂😂 Cheers, Andy.
Yeah you can barely hear it a few times, I had mostly sorted how far I could push after the first 3 sessions(which I didn't record). Ah it's not bad, it's just a recipe to hit a bump and unload your suspension which would not be fun. Oh I'm terrible at knee down, , my hips are very inflexible. Hahaha a Tuono is sadly a pipe dream, I genuinely have no idea how people afford something like that. Thanks amigo :)
Seeing you sitting in your garage using a bit of natural light all I can think of is that you might have one neighbor that's like "there goes that guy with his motorcycles again" every time you’re working on them or when you ride off or come home and I am so here for that. I can't wait for you to have people over all on motorcycles to really make them wonder what is going on.
Hahaha I keep the door low enough so they can't see my face :D That'd unnerve me. Honestly no one speaks to anyone in my subdivision and I hate it. It's so weird to me having zero relationship with your neighbours. They definitely think I'm mad though working on stuff in a oven garage this time of year :D I've had one or two, but I have no local friends with bikes yet sadly :'(
Question...? Would you not feel cheated trying to go faster with a smaller engine? You definitely need the rear sets as clearly it was in your mind the whole time so you were holding back. My instinct is to go with the higher option just to be sure you won't be thinking about it. Sounds like you need to try a sprocket change to prevent revving out in 5th. Those poor tyres . . . 😢. It shows how much bikes have evolved because when I started riding I thought it was normal for bikes to weave and wallow around corners. It was fun to watch the headstock moving from side to side in the tank cut out . . . . All my race bikes were road bikes. I don't know that I could steel myself to race here on underbone or ducks, I certainly don't want to ride them on the street 🤣. An interesting video. Keep having fun !👍
Probably....possibly.....but there are 400cc endurance races I think it would qualify for..... Yeah as soon as they started touching down I back off, I've seen that cause too many accidents. The Sato option _looks_ more solid also, but that could just me me. The Gilles have a rotating mechanism to move the peg height and I can't see that being as durable. I would but I don't want to lose too much acceleration either.....plus you'll always have weak points to keep a bike comfortable and fun on the street too. Haha they did a great job, very sticky :D It definitely used to be more normal, even just frame geometry and frame flex, swingarm flex etc etc. Modern bikes are so so stable in my experience, this bike is way easier to feel the limits on than even the GSXR for instance. Hahaha fair enough!! I'd watch them go at it tho :D Thank you sir!
Daily riding yes, but I'd be concerned about their design a little, it has a rotating peg assembly and I wonder would it be as solid as a fixed assembly.
I have a z900rs. They pull alot of power. For the track seems like the wants to breath but corners remind you of the power and knowing where to always point and accelerate and brake smoothly and maintain contol of that bike.😂😂🎉🎉
I actually find mine lacking a bit of power even after a tune to get more out of it. It won't beat a 600 supersport in a straight line. I'm not sure I full understand I'm sorry, but it's a very smooth bike now in corners :)
100% agree with you about the seat and pegs. I've driven one (88 model) across Europe twice and it is murder on your rear. It's just a crappy plastic seat with cheap foam in it. Mine had a rear seat with a back rest and I'd sometimes sit on that during those trips, just to alleviate the pain. But okay, it's a cruiser, not a touring bike. This bike, rather the 1988 750cc version, is my first love. I went from a crappy '05 Suzuki to this and everything, apart from the seat, felt right. Unfortunately mine does not work anymore and never quite worked right and through circumstances took over a 2010 600cc Honda Hornet which is also absolutely excellent, but it's just not the same.
2:04 the amount of distance you closed in under the brakes was tremendous. Through the corners your entrance speed was impressive. That bike had nothing on you except the straights. 3:45 Again with the braking, impressive! And the setup for the pass at 4:00. Dude great riding!!!
Also very very fun :) Thanks, definitely could have cleaned the bloody screen tho 😂 I'll try the gopro next time for some GPS stuff too. Ive one more session to edit I'll throw it up tomorrow!
I would love to do a track day agian. But would have to be on a rented bike, all the track days I did I crashed! But then I was young and took more risks!
Do iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Ah yeah I'm fairly careful with my bikes tbh, I could push to get another few seconds maybe but the least fun thing I've done is crashed bikes I like so I just take it relatively easy :D
It's very fun and sounds great now after the mods, definitely needs rear sets for full fast mode tho. I'd lvoe one, I'd keep the yellow tho but I'm a flamboyent auld soul :D
The only two things I've left I would do to the Z900RS is a set of rear sets and a quickshifter.....and honestly I'm leaning towards just buying another sportbike to use at the track, something a little more geared towards going fast. I'm perfectly happy on the Z but my inner competitiveness hates being passed on the straights :D
That looked like a lot of fun! I don’t have any track experience, but it looked beginner friendly, in that it’s flat and seemed to have decent run-off areas all around. However, I suspect those long corners would but difficult to master when trying to button down a good lap time! I expected to see more people. but not being crowded is probably nice, too! I recognize the N2 name, I usually hear it associated with WERA (endurance racing, I think?), although I’ve heard it around Moto America, too. You’ve probably said it before, but have you had any sort of formal training or guidance for track riding, or did you just go and begin to figure it out?
Most tracks are surprisingly beginner friendly, that's the beauty of the groups :) Novice tends to be more crowded but there are strict passing rules and everyone is moving at a pretty calm pace so very good to learn. It's actually challenging in a way as it's a lot of higher speed sustained corners with tightening radiuses etc. But a very pleasant track. I miss elevation changes 😂 We think it was that quiet due to the heat warnings, a lot of people might not have shown up due to that. It was a very quiet group, good in a way but not as fun as having some people to joust with :P Correct! They do endurance stuff also :) I was lucky that most of Ireland is a basically small back road race tracks and I rode bikes there when I was younger....so more of an idiot than I am now. When I finally got to the track it felt fairly natural(with a lot of bad habits). Thankfully Mr Chris Gray took me under his wing and taught me how to be less shite. But nothing formal ever no. Just practice :)
Good video. I don't understand not having braking boards . . . Assuming the red dots are apex markers that track has a lot of very late apexes which are never easy. They always need a lot of learning and setting up way earlier than normal. Not many people, which is good in that you can relax more and focus, and bad because there are less chances to follow and learn that way. So happy that you enjoyed it. 👍
Thanks! Honestly you don't have to brake brake much on this track except for turn 1 which has markers. They are indeed, some very tricky ones to get right, I made a mess of too many of them I know I can hit though, nice to have a target too. Very quiet on account of the heat I think, it was nice in a way I could be very consistent, but like that it was harder to push to try match and catch someone.
So I know this is not the neatest session I've ever done, it was 34-36 degrees C, rather warm but I had a hell of a lot of fun. NCBike is a great track. Bike I was riding was a 2019 Z900RS with Dunlop Q5S tyres, Ivan's Performance tune with a K&N air filter, Delkevic headers and racetech springs to my weight. Videos for fitting all of the above on the channel :) It was extremely fun. Can't wait for the next one.
Would it be possible for them to create a patch cord that had a usb end on it so that the unit could be removed and patch corded to a usb port on a computer to upload the files instead of removing the SD card, I ask that because it looked like the unit itself looked to be quick connected to power and cameras, Is this the case? Possibly a usb patch cord could be a good remedy for having to remove the card.
The long bolt you said stripped on the way out was made that way for ease of assembly. As for the new bolt replacement yes it is only just long enough but 5mm longer would be better.
I did think it was very odd that it had stripped and I hadn't felt anything, either way stripped intentionally or not for assembly it wasn't usable. That's what I said? It barely is long enough. That said it has held up to road use and a track day now.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the electric vehicles. They pushed it way too hard without really assessing the market. The very same thing happened with Virtual Reality in the video game industry. They hyped the hell out of it for years, and it was more or less DOA.
That's it really, I mean I get that we need to diversify how we transport ourselves around, but it was handled so so poorly imo. Yeah, which is really sad in a way, if I could have a multidirectional treadmill and a headset to walk around skyrim I'd be the fittest man alive.
Happy birthday and happy trackday. I like the Enduristan stuff, but do wish they had better mounting systems for ease of use. We have lots of nature around me, I am quite lucky in that respect 🙂
Thank you amigo. It was a very happy track day indeed :) Yeah, the mount worked really really well on the Vstrom, but the need for something to tie off that excess strap is needed and then on the Z900RS, functional but way too fiddly imo. You are indeed!!
Ooops, I pressed send half way through typing... I utterly agree, keep a seperation between work and play, if you turn a hobby into work, it will lose its fun. I like the start to finish thing with vlogging, it is personal if you have not just recorded the footage, but pieced it together yourself too. I'm too much of a bimbo to be able to do trending videos, I have no scooby what is cool or trending in the world. Everything is owned by someone it seems... is a real shame, I bet they would put curtains up to stop you seeing "their" view if they could.
Happens to the best of us....and the worst :P Exactly. I really think it's why so many bigger youtubers just seem turned off bikes in general. I'll keep popping out videos so long as people like them. Hahaha I think that's why we're friends eh, just both happily deluded with bikes :D Oh I'd say some people 100% would.
It is a great angle, but might be worth turning down the stabilisation a little as it is quite floaty and lags on the turns a tad. I'd love it if RU-vid paid in profiteroles 😛 Ooo, you had your own big bird.... big birds ARE cool indeedy!
That's true, it is also an original osmo action that's been rolled over by a bike too so we'll cut it a little slack....I'm planning on finally buying a new action cam soon..... just have to decide which one. Hahaha I'd be fat as a fool.....or not....depends on how well they paid :D A Yuge burd. They're very cool, always love seeing them.
Tail bag looks good. I have a smaller (cheaper) version for my limited needs and convenience. It looks OK and is mighty useful. Same as yourself, I'd like to understand the real reasons for not keeping EVs (bike or car). I think I understand limitations, etc, but would like to hear it from the horses mouth, so to speak. OC - my area (Lincolnshire UK) has a great combination of countryside and coast. Agricultural (which hopefully means it will remain so), nature reserves, etc, and low population make it a grand place to live. Cheers, Andy.
Haha I overspent tbh, it was a last minute spur of the moment buy, which I normally don't do so I am glad it worked out :) Exactly, I like to talk to anyone on their bikes and why they keep/sell them! Yeah, I think as a global population we can't lose sight of keeping places actually pleasant to live, people have to live places of course and work places, but we need to set aside plenty of green and beauty spots.
I still can't get in step with the world today. Time was I would go down to Gerry's if I wanted something bike related. If he didn't have what I wanted he would get it within a week, often offering choices. Now even here where there are so many bike related shops I find myself ordering online. The whole electric thing was and is confused. If they really want us to use electric vehicles they need to commit to the infrastructure. My impression is that manufacturers have talked to governments and said that to be honest it's a dead end and so governments pay lip service till something like hydrogen is up and running properly. It would be a better fit with the current fuel distribution and vehicle maintenance infrastructure. A tiny issue is with the labelling. I think electric vehicles, two, three and four wheeled have a place, but not cars, or motorbikes as such. Post WW2 there were a lot of electric vehicles on the roads of the UK. Milk floats, Trolley buses/trams, and a lot of electric delivery vehicles. The latter were used in the urban setting. We threw all that away ? The Wuling Air, which looks like the Lego Movie car is a very common sight on the streets of Surabaya. This Chinese electric vehicle looks perfect for the urban environment and lifestyle. Another thought provoker on many levels. Thank you. 👍
Sorry not sure how I missed this one! I miss good brick and mortar stores tbh, even the bike shops that are around now rarely have much gear in stock and even less bikes, which really makes me sad as I love just wandering through bike shops dreaming. I actually really dislike ordering online, I recently had to return a jacket to Revzilla that didn't fit and it was such an ordeal I probably won't bother again. That's very possible, I'd love to have a lot more transparency on the push for electric. For an A to B commuter in a city, fine, but otherwise they really don't make a lick of sense, ESPECIALLY if you're not wealthy as they cost a lot. Hydrogen is a mega challenging one. I don't see it being mass adopted any time soon either. I think the ones that make sense aren't affordable. I follow a few people who have the Rivian R1T and that looks like something I would actually be able to use for commuting and towing a bike etc. But it costs $75,000!!!!!!! I mean that is just so far beyond anything I would ever consider spending on a car it may as well not exist. That for me is the issue, the ones people can afford are largely pointless as cars. The motorcycles.....too expensive I'd buy a used Honda Cb or something. People shouldn't be regulated in to buying things that literally don't make any financial sense to them. Thanks for the comment :)
I prefer hydraulic clutches for sure. Maybe a tiny bit more trouble when doing stuff like in this vid, but no cable adjustmetns ever, no lubing cables ever, and no broken cables ever mean it's a win for hydraulics.
