Info slide: "The mediocre life" describes a life that is ordinary, plain, and unremarkable. Those who live mediocre lives are individuals who have not achieved significant success or failure in various areas of their lives (e.g. academic-wise, career-wise).
THS the glorification of "the mediocre life"

I knew from Prop's first speaker's arguments that it would be hard to refuse their claims. The only fallacy was that "two contradictory narratives can't coexist" when in fact they exist all the time. Op still did remarkable! Incredible

Side props 2nd argument contends with their argument about mediocracy making people happy. They talk about harmful characterisations of mediocracy being used against minorities such as being lazy or being nothingness, then they say everyone now experiences these characterisations of mediocracy thus minorities can no longer be discriminated against. I then question how can you be happy in your mediocracy if you live a life of laziness and nothingness.

As a Bangladeshi, I vehemently disagree that we think our mediocre is worse than that of America’s xD (then again, i am privileged than most people here so idrk) I mean, I’d rather live in this sh!thole than get bankrupt over an ambulance ride or get evicted in 5 days notice like yikes- Also i find it comical to think countries with better mediocrities will help less fortunate countries, even when mediocrity is glorified. Im not a buddhist but i feel like budhism was inappropriately reduced to the celebration of mediocrity just to fit the prop’s narrative.

I think it's more about the likelihood of wanting to donate. Currently, the societal narrative of success is under the idea of living the most outlandish, lavish life an individual can. When the narrative changes, the likelihood of someone buying their 3rd mercedes instead of donating is comparatively lower in prop's world. This is mostly because of how the utility you get, i.e, the self satisfaction of donating is more than the satisfaction you might get from a new car, mostly because, you having that third car isn't something people care as much about
