Thank you, yes, we are born in inquitity and is not because of our environment. I do not hear that preached even in Celebrate Recovery. We are constantly trying to find out why we do things and it is because of our sin nature.
I also don't get the fascination with 22 overgrown multi-millionaires fighting over a strange leather toy. Colossal waste of time, in my book. But if the illustration is very brief & universally understood, it's OK with me. After all, Paul referred to boxing, wrestling, & foot races in his writings, & the illustrations worked for him. :) I'm confident that Paul was NOT a sports fan, but he was aware of the Olympics, as were the folks in the churches he was writing to.

It can work as long as the lesson being taught is obvious to all. Going into a play by play the way he did is not teaching a lesson, it's just relaying excitement over the play.
BEWARE of “bible school” taught preachers..... Not real Pastors... I live down the street from James Macdonalds Church the (Sports analogies guy) and I’ve always felt something weird in the spirit with him. Well lo and behold he was fired from his own Church today. They treat the church like a business and that’s exactly all it is to them. God is good and has blessed me with knowing the fakes from afar. All praise to the most high......

And why are you so invested in their belief that you are watching incredibly niche videos about their faith on the internet? Probably a rabbit hole on RU-vid you’ve went down while watching countless videos about this God you don’t believe in, but yet are obsessing over......?
