I don't personally think they were in a fight i think Tobin was just mad from how she played and just needed a break from Christen for a little. But it's obvious even if it was a fight that it didn't effect them to much because we all pretty much know that they're living together now and that was months ago.
They have been a couple for 5 or 6 years. Tobin has lived a pretty spoiled life. She is pretty lucky that Christen, is more of a people pleaser and stayed with Tobin, dying her temper tantrums. Tobin has grown more mature with Chris. They have become a much more solid and trusting couple since this time.
Tobin def seems to be hard on herself when she isn't on her game. I'm sure Christen was like "what's going on? I was wide open" and Tobin's like "I just saw the shot and took it" and I guess Christen wants Tobin to think of the team as a whole. That could have resulted in some requiring space apart during the game. Christen's very caring so she was probably looking towards Tobin to make sure she was okay. It was sad to see her just stand in disbelief at Tobin's attempt though.
No more than any other couple that works together. To me that Christen was concerned about Tobin and didn't look mad. They have been playing and been with each other for a while. I'm sure they deal with it off the field. They also had been playing soccer for about a year straight without many breaks. Plus everyone is always watching them😉
When the two most smile-ready women with the two most extraordinary ready-to-go camera pleasing smiles hit a snag, it reminds me how much they can be taken for granted. They play at an excruciating level of competition all the while trying to down play what appears to be a deeply loving relationship for reasons many of us don’t have to deal with on a day to day basis. I can imagine that gets tangled up on occasion.
Bruh I don’t think they were arguing I think that day was just really stressful and in my opinion I think they weren’t playing as well as they do and I think that frustrated everyone and they all just had to give each other space to calm down and win the game which they did
Something happen before the game for sure, Christen does alot of meditation and seems more in touch with her feelings, Tobin is her opposite for sure, I felt for Christen she seems fragile in that sense. Seems like their good now, this is normal in any relationship capacity. Had to watch it a few times I felt sad for Christen because she seems like she didn't enjoy their win as the rest of the team did.
To me, it looks like Tobin was angry with how she was playing (she was off the whole game). I don't think Christen had anything to do with it and she might be giving her space to deal with her anger. Which is why I think she kept looking at her. If you listen to some recent interviews with both of them together they are almost quite the opposite of each other. They are very private people and their relationship is very important and sacred to them. I wish them all the good vibes.
Tobin wasn’t playing well and Chris tried to help, Tobin has a temper! The coach pulled her from the game and she was benched for this tournament. Christen had a great Tournament! Christen got the best player trophy. Hopefully Tobin learned a lesson about team play.
I felt that christen was right... tobin was meant to find christen. Christen Could have easily scored if tobin instead of shooting at goal at that angle cut the ball in towards Christen it would have resulted in a goal... So she just told her to look out for someone in penalty area but tobin looked tired a frustrated she doesnt like being corrected and therefore purposefully ignored Chris as if to say I'm gonna be stubborn and play my way and u adapt to my game.... Which obviously resulted in friction between the two and tobin tries to cover up her emotions by being fake and loud while being well aware that she is the one to be blamed for the poor chances and performance during this game. This obviously hurts christen because she likes to be honest and direct she probably a little confused and regrets correcting tobin style of play.. But communication is vital and christen would have corrected anyone even rapinoe if she had lost them chances like that... But ofcourse fued started before match... Resulting in uncomfortable atmosphere
You just described the only real mistake Tobin makes.. she lets anger kill her game sometimes, but other times that anger is like titanium armor.. its weird.
Somethings are stronger than one moment. The heart will overcome it always does. I don't believe there is a friendship or any other ship in the world that hasn't a moment.

Jersey vs Southern California. They have such a different vibe but so complimenary at the same time. I dont think Christen wanted to criticise. It looks more like she was trying to straddle the line of being a supportive, comforting partner/helpful and professional teammate.
I mean, it makes me a bit sad but we have been seeing photos of them together. Like living in the same house, you know. I hope that someday they make the relationship public
My guess is that Tobin is going thru something personally that might have affected her play in the game and Christen knew that. Christen tried to help tobins game while understanding what she was going through. Christen have Tobin space to figure herself out but she still cares for Tobin and is concerned for Tobin from a distance
Yeah the chemistry wasn't there, something was definitely off between them. They had a private chat about it away from soccer though. I can't competitively play with a loved one.
I’ve seen one other game where they were distant, too. Aw, bless them...not such a bad thing to feel the pain of a fall out if their relationship is strong 😘

Do you think they could be under pressure worrying about where Christen is going when camp breaks up? They are in a comp with English, Spanish and Japanese players who'll be very aware of the looming covid situation outside of the US. The league should begin in a month and, surely, she will be aiming to return to Utah for preseason. I think this must be in their minds - does she go to Portland or Utah. Europe is locking down at this stage.
