Preben Elkjær Larsen, born 11 September 1957 in Copenhagen (Denmark). 91 games and 32 goals in Serie A, playing as forward with Hellas Verona for 4 seasons (1984-1988), winning the historical 1984/85 Scudetto, the only one in club's history. He finished 3rd (1984) and 2nd (1985) in Ballon d'Or,
both times surpassed by Michel Platini (Juventus).
Elkjær played 69 international games (1977-1988) with Denmark, scoring 38 goals and taking part to Euro 1984 and 1986 FIFA World Cup.
He is Widely regarded as one of the best forwards of the 1980s and one of the most popular athletes in his native Denmark.
