I need one one these! At my work, I have to torque U bolts on heavy duty trucks EVERY SINGLE DAY to 500ft lbs and our torque wrench is trash. It takes forever and just wrecks your hands. I'm investing in one ASAP

Only time I've ever used a torque wrench in the reverse was for left hand wheel studs

Man, I was going to buy a 42” Wright “railroad” ratchet as my version of the giant wrench club and kind of a joke at work, but I’ve been wanting to invest in a 3/4” torque wrench for those rare occasions we need to torque something past 300. This kit covering both makes way too much sense. Sold! Also looked around a little. Tool Discounter the best option I could find too after factoring in shipping and taxes.

I recently bought a 3/8" Precision Instruments torque wrench. They are beautiful torque wrenches and you can't beat the price. I'll eventually get the 1/2" version. Great haul!

I think we can declare that torque wrench to be the King Of All Torque Wrenches! I would also consider it a must-own item if you work on cars with center lock wheel locks (which I’ve never had the owner of working on).

Nice space saving design, I have an old KD Tools 3/4” drive fixed head torque wrench. And my work has a snap on and some other off brand one .

I was going to buy the precision instruments 1/2” split beam, but my Snap-on rep hooked me up with a torque wrench at 300$! Few bucks more, but I’m very happy!

Before Snap On bought CDI and the split beam patent expired, Precision Instruments made the Snap On split beam torque wrench. They are a really cool company.

Love the Zombie green zipper on your overalls. You know I like the zombie green tools. Got no 3/4” in my tool shed and that’s a lot of zeros in the ft/lbs so I have to find something else to focus on as a humble DIYer.

I have no complaints with PI torque wrenches. Mine are about 28 years old and have been used a ton. I don’t know how accurate the tool is on a SnapOn truck that checks your torque wrench’s calibration but I was told that mine were still good to go. I’ve always backed them off after use and never use them for breaker bars. A great American tool company and a really nice combo kit.

The snap on digital torque wrenches have a bigger usable range than their click type torque wrenches. I forgot the exact video but it showed the difference between the digital and click and how they worked.

why the need for a breaker bar?? torque wrenc is meant to torque , not loosen??? i think it is a not so good idea.. head for torque wrench breaks,

I've been thinking about adding a 3/4" drive also 🤔 I don't know exactly what it is but I rather have it than need it then get stuck without it when its called upon even though it may not necessarily be often but you never know 💯

I have the snap on changeable head 3/4 ratchet with 2 handles and I have put a lot torque on it and never had a problem I would like to look into that for the torque wrench aspect. Great video

I have heard about middle of the range being most accurate though on a digital like that Snap On that may not be true , but the micrometer ( clucky ) type I believe that still holds true

The thing is leverage, if your torquing to 600 lbs you want a long friggen handle. I see diesel tech torquing to 425 for wheel nuts and those wrenches have a stupid long handle, alot longer than that precision torque. Sometimes it takes two guys, one to put socket on nut, the other torquing because handle is so long.
