Have had my split beam 1/2 inch now for close on 25 years, use it often as I'm a heavy diesel mechanic, ratchet has been replaced a few times and that's it.
I just bought my first torque wrench, a C2FR100F and have to say I'm VERY impressed by it. I've already use it quite a lot a and the quality is outstanding. I plan on purchasing a 1/2" drive as well and when the time comes it will definitely be a C3FR250F.
Dear Will, Thank you for your support of our brand and we are glad you enjoy using the C2FR100F. If you have any further questions or comments on this or any other matter don't hesitate to let us know at sales@torqwrench.com or call us toll free at 866-897-3624. Thanks again!
Heck of a company, answers the phone and talks you through the purchase of the right torque wrench for you. Hard to say many other companies do that in this day and age!!!
Thank you for your support Charles! Can't say how much it means to us. These comments are shared with our employees and it gives us all extra pride in the tools we manufacture.
Thank you so much! They are great torque wrenches. Easy to use and dependable. We hope they continue to meet or exceed your expectations! Thanks again.
$20.00 for a calibration certificate? Is that certificate printed with gold leaf lettering? Seemingly leads one to believe that "some" wrenches are not tested/certified unless you pay the $$...
Good question on the certificate! The certificate provides actual readings during calibration and singed off on by the quality manager. It provides complete traceability of the tester used to obtain the torque wrenches readings. Also, the serialized weights and lengths used during certificate of the tester and their traceability. Fairly extensive certificate for those who find value in it. Otherwise, all of our tools are accompanied with a compliance certificate which certifies the tool to ASME, ISO, and other military standards. No new or repaired torque wrench leaves our factory outside of the advertised accuracy. Thanks!

Why doesn't your wrench need to be dialed down and can be kept at whatever setting? Or is it, in general, a myth that you need to dial torque wrenches back to zero?
Dear lowspeed, thanks for the question. The Split-beam is pretty unique in that it's a click type torque wrench where the measuring mechanism remains completely at rest, regardless of the set value, when not in use. Only when force is applied then the internal components begin to stress. Most traditional Micrometer Adjustable Click Type Torque Wrenches, like our M line, have a release assembly that is always compressed even it the lowest setting. Otherwise the individual parts would simply fall apart. For those types of torque wrenches it is recommended to release the maximum about of stress for storage. But, always follow the directions found within the Owners Manual for your particular tool. Thanks!
And you filmed this in a wood shop. OMG, please explain, are ratchet paws made of rosewood? Lol. Holy crap you may make a fine wrench but your marketing dept. sucks.
