Possible to use same screen feature on 1198 ? Got some difficulties to insertsand concept but seems easy to tell in real Time fish approching your jig look so amazing ! Well done for this great video

No sir, that is what this machine was made for! Granted, I don't don't get to fish in extreme cold here in CT but it has performed flawlessly.

Unfortunately, the 1198 does not have a have a flasher mode...

So impressiv i m FISHING guide too but south OF France for sea BASS , mackerel, denti and pagrus i use a coupe OF 1198 i never use or sea rhese

Awesome, great to hear. I got confirmation from Humminbird that the 597ci HD DI is compatible with the ice ducer as long as you have the updates. I prefer open water but looking forward to jiggin crappies with my new toy!

Thanks man! I don't ice fish but I do have this option on my Humminbird 698. I wondered how it worked and how to operate it. Now I have a better understanding.

CIrcle present deep, understand like mode max representation yellow & red show hard signal or fish, so green top left & top righ of the red & yellow scan are ???? the bottom directly ?

Blaine - does extreme cold affect the screen performance of the 597? I've got the 597ci HD DI and I just might sell the vexilar and just use the 597. I just remember having issues with LCD screens in cold weather.

I find the ice mode to be just like an old vex flasher. Why do you use this ice mode over the sonar. My 597 seems to be better for me in traditional sonar mode over ice mode. What is the advantage over the sonar screen to you???
