Lots of you want to talk about this just being a gear race, but in reality almost any shooter on the range already has these items. A spotter, a kestrel, a LRF - this is just about getting things all in one place to add utility and simplicity. If you're never shot a match, we understand the comments, but these are VERY common things for guys to have in the pack.

How is the carbon-fiber center column mounted to the MOD DOS?

Im sure there is a 1/4 - 20 threaded screw on the bottom of the pole. Or there is a 1/4 - 20 threaded hole and he used all thread to create a connection. But most of these types of poles have this kind of connection. Been used in camera gear for years. Always look at B and H photo for options that are often less expensive.
