If you are playing with someone who would pull the whole “tHaT’s NoT lEgAl” for something like this, especially with new players, you should find a new group.
Yeh I am lucky with my current group is they are accepting at everything so long as you communicate also oh yeah all proxies allowed too it's fantastic!
Yeah the group I played with, we had a new player who built his deck completely illegally. Still gonna play with him because we're just having fun. Just let him know what he needs to fix without getting mad at him for a mistake.
When I started playing MTG my grandma gifted me the War of Attrition Event deck that had 2 Stoneforge Mystics on it... I remember once they got banned, because they were on a deck sold for you to be able to participate on that format, a rule exception was made where if you played the exact 75 card list that came in the box it would be legal. Funny things.
I’m getting more nervous with Hasbro owning WotC. We got the mass misprint with the Strixhaven precon. A mass misprint with the new Jin-Gitaxias how he didn’t get the praetor symbol. Now a production error in this precon. I wonder as they push out more products will these things keep happening.
This morning the article for the precons said Power Up for the Buckle up deck, speaking of which Buckle Up even though I am still excited to play the precon, I already have all those cards in the deck besides the new ones, and the reprint value is absolutely crap. They could have added Academy Ruins, Command Beacon, Padeem, and other 3-10 dollar cards instead of those crappy 1 cent cards and bulk rares that have very little synergy in the deck.
@@moop6667 the new new jin-Gitaxias. The new Vorinvlex has the phyrexian symbol but the new Jin-Gitaxias doesn’t or at least his normal English version doesn’t.
how many times is a small oopsie going to keep happening? maybe if it was rare it would be a oh well type of thing. but where the hell is the quality control? how do you print an entire run of product that is flawed?
They loose the ability to put them in premium priced booster boxes such as modern horizons or masters sets which are typically 1.5x to 2 5x the price of a draft box and is filled with high value reprints to get people to shovel their wallet contents to wotc
@@freedomforall1712 I just got done watching the Command Zone and they calculated the reprint value to be around $55. That is ridiculous and disappointing as other deck's reprint value are over $90. This would have been the perfect product to add a shock and fetch.
I won't lie, this deck just doesn't hold my interest over all. It looks clunky at first glance, but maybe it'll play smoother than it seems to. That said, a lot of the individual cards in this one look absolutely _phenomenal_ in other decks I've built or will be building. Smoke Spirit's Aid in Hinata? Ascendant Acolyte and Silkguard in Kyler? Unquenchable Fury and Komainu in Isshin? All sweet tech.
That feeling when you get disqualified after winning the Kamigawa Neon Dynasty precons only Commander tournament at your LGS upon further inspection of your deck.
I want to start playing mtg, and love this themed cards (the ones that will be released this days) which of the two prebuilt decks should i pick up for starting?
In my experience, the Merciless Rage precon (Anje Falkenrath) is really good for first timers. And the Elven Empire (Lathril blade of elves). Those were my first two decks. They're heavily augmented now, but they still are played regularly. They're pretty much always on sale on Amazon btw.
I know you posted this two months ago, but my favorite precon that EVER released, and its still currently cheap, is the DnD Prosper, Tome-Bound Deck. It's mechanics are super fun for people just starting out, and can be very easily upgraded with better cards. I personally would recommend it to anyone just starting out, and I still play that deck (an upgraded version) in my pod constantly.
Collision of the Realms is the perfect board wipe for a Polymorph deck! Most other decks will just get some random value creature, so you can set the rest of the table behind and instantly get one of your haymakers. It'll be great for the strategies that want it!
I also trade with Mr Walter Romand, and i must say he makes money making seem a whole lot easier right now I'm a single parent and i pay the bills comfortably since i met Walter Romand, he's absolutely amazing and I'd recommend him for any novice in crypto.
Been reading through the comments and when he mentioned Mr Walter Romand I know he was right! he has been my Investment manager for long and I'm happy with his services.
Wow! Nicely said indeed no doubt Mr Walter Romand is the best step to take following the current situation of the world economy, I have never believed in Bitcoin or crypto currency in all, but this has been a life changing encounter today!!
Collision of realms is actually really good despite its weirdness. There are plenty of boardwipes that leave behind one creature, or specific creatures. This just leaves one random creature from the top of each players deck. And tucking is arguably better than destroying, since it doesnt go to the graveyard and indestructible doesnt protect it. Basically its a giant chaos warp for decks with less creatures to worry about losing. I may lose my commander and a couple dinky creatures, but all my opponents lose their whole armies and only get a top deck card to replace it
My immediate thought was putting this in a spellslinger type deck which only runs their commander. Pop this off, shuffle the commander into the deck, everyone loses their board except for one creature, your commander comes back into play, continue on your merry way having knocked the board down to your commander and 3 random creatures.
@@dilbert719 one of my friends thought the same thing for his narset commander deck. He has no other creatures, so it is just a completely one sided board wipe
Collision of realms is pretty broken most of all if the only real creatures you have are your win conditions and maybe some manlands or something so a none token hits your graveyard . I love it. seems like a lot of fun. I can see it back firing though,
if collision would have given you more than one creature it would be a Combo Enabler... example: schuffle commander into the deck while an opponent has 4 creatures... and you will fetch four creatures from your deck, but if you only run 3 creatures (+the shuffled Commander) then you wouldd just get all 4 and could combo off... so, it seems like WotC learned from Tibalts Trickery and made this card as Anti-Combo as possible (you will only get A creature and only if you shuffle atleast 1 Creature into the deck... so at best its a 50/50 between your Commander and the Creature you want to cheat out...)
I mean... it definitely is embarrassing on WOTC’s part but a lot worse can happen. I’d say they accidentally gave you slightly more value in the product considering some LGS’s will just give you basic lands.
I am in a great group and they definitely would have given me a few helpful suggestions. what I ended up doing for Maya Moss fire replacement is adding Nyssa voice of zendikar.
I think Collision of Realms is best in a deck where the only creature is your commander. It would essentially blink your commander and wipe everyone else's board. Another application is in a reconfigure based deck, since the equipment creatures are not creatures when used as equipment they won't get shuffled in; instead they will become a creature again as they are no longer equipped. This leaves you with a significantly better board than your opponents will have. Though, you are absolutely correct about it being weird. I like it, but I would need to do a lot of thinking before including it in a deck.
After a few months waiting, and back and forth emails to the customer service, I finally got reparations for this defective deck. Wizards sent me the basic land they claim is a replacement for the second Mossfire Valley. Of course they could not send the Nissa, as it was never printed and is not the "official" missing card, but whatever, it's not our job as players, to correct their mistake. It may just be a basic land, but they are the ones who should provide it. Which they now did for me.
One with the Kami... Budget combo with Renata from the most recent Theros expansion as your Commander, add a sac outlet and maybe Altar of the Brood and Good Game, infinite mill in mono green plus infinite creatures for the win?
No Mitch - i wont be nice. If you play your 2nd Valley i will be huge dick about it. I will not only demand that you lose the game, but i will make sure that you will feel really really bad about it. Whats the point if you get disqualified and i win but you dont feel really bad about it - doesnt make sense mitch. Be reasonable please!
That's awsome idea pass a newbie a land if they didn't know and nice heads up about it great not need to freak out but funny that magic made that mistake normal would cause that card tank in price cause there more copys then intend to print funny thou easy fix be make copys of the others quick fix don't think ppl would mind more just land reprints
If I remember right, "Trade Secrets" was banned as soon as the spoilers for the first commander precons came out, so zedruu was illegal when it released.
Collision of Realms is like that white board wipe that let everyone keep a creature or planeswalker.... but you know red can't be that simple and loves chaos too much.
I also thought this was kinda weird. When I saw the shrine commander spoiled I was like...but what deck does it go in? Edit: Now I'm just confused. I posted this before watching, because I assumed that was the answer to my question. Are there going to be three precons for kamigawa?
The shrine commander is actually only in set and collector’s boosters but was labeled (along with the Myojin plus a couple other cards) as from the commander “set” so that they weren’t legal in standard
They started printing commander-exclusive cards in the set boosters and collector packs a while back, and starting with Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, WotC decided to also put in cards for commander that aren't part of the preconstructed decks, like Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor.. or Umbris, Fear Manifest
I am very curious how a mistake like this made it all the way to packaged product. I feel like there were many points along the production line that this could have been caught
I'd play Collision of Realms in my Chaos Reigns commander deck if I ever rebuilt it. I would fit perfectly will all the random change target spell, bounce, and other shenanigans in the deck.
One with kami is such a great card and it's gonna be a really fun for combos. This card goes infinite with grumgully and a sac outlet like goblin bombardment. I'm sure there will be other combos but easily my favorite card from this precon :)
Collision of realms seems good to me. Most red board wipes are damage based. Warp world benefits whoever has the most creatures so it doesn’t see play unless you are really going wide. This is a catch all that can go in almost any red deck. The mana cost is a little steep but I don’t think it is overpriced for what it’s doing.
