I plan to put a 301 Stage 3 on my Trailmaster Hurricane this winter. Currently, I have a Ducar 212 on it that is fairly built. With the Juggernaut, I am running 64 MPH stock gears at 7100 RPMs. After 55 mph, it takes a while to climb to that 60+ mark. I hope the 301 can help with that.
I wonder what the 301 would do on my MB200. Mine with stage one does only 42+mph. It's such a big engine. I guess if you remove the gas tank and intake and exhaust it would fit. On my MB200 I put a Honda gas tank on it and put the GPS stage one kit on it and custom fabricated my exhaust. It looks sweet...
We put a 250 main jet in it. The pilot jet is whatever came in it. We got the carb kit from NR Racing and the carb had a 180 in it, but also came with the 250.
Its so hard recommend jet sizes as there are so many variables. I would just put it on and see how the engine reacts. If its surging, it probably needs more fuel and you can usually tell if its too rich by black smoke coming out of the exhaust. once yo get it happy then you need to read the spark plug if you really want to dial it in. Thanks for watching, sorry for the late response.
Nevermind . I just read the comments. I’m using a 17.5 pilot with the 260 but is running high . Idk what wrong with it .then I put a 25 pilot , it helped a lil bit but still keeps shutting off and idling rough
Sorry I missed your first comment. There's a lot that goes into adjusting a carb the main jet is really only for when you are riding so it doesn't affect idle quality there are two screws on the side of the carburetor one for air fuel mixture and one for closed slide adjustment for the idle control

It's in episode one of this swap. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pam7ZMfAt54.html It was just a 90 degree header that we slightly modified
What’s the slow jet size? I have a 301cc too with a wide open exhaust and carb but it just pops flames out the exhaust and fuel sprays out the the air filter 🤷🏻♂️
Yes it is. And holding up well so far. You have to cut the rear oil fill off the side cover of the engine for the plate to fit. not for the feint of heart.
