Thank you for the video. I order parts today and will be installing on our Predator 8750 gen. You may have but didn't show inline fuses to the relay and actuator. I'll add 2 fuses. I don't want to burn down my generator with these inexpensive parts. I'm going to see if I can wire the 4th relay to the throttle ECS. I'd like to start with the ECS off, then turn it on. Like someone said, adding an on/off switch for the relays/actuator as well. Thanks again for you videos.

i took an early 80's model onan and did something similar with relays and a 12$ amazon winch controller a few years ago.. in was on, out was off. it was carbureted and the choke was automatic. works good to this day.

Very nice job! I am familiar with the remote control unit as I used it for remote lighting on my RVs. The only addition I am going to make to your system on my unit is a kill switch for the remote circuit board and the actuator so they are not activated and do not draw any power during storage. Thanks for making the video! Now if I can just make an automatic Fuel tank filler! ;)

Seems to me you could eliminate one channel by hooking the choke to the starter? Being they are both actuated at the same time.

The biggest mystery for me is , it seems as though each channel/relay has 3 terminals. I can’t see how you have the receiver wired closely

You can eliminate the B choke button by connecting the choke actuators power to the starter solenoid wire that feeds the motor power after the start solenoid is triggered. You wouldn't be able to hold the choke longer and release the starter button like you can with A and B but I doubt you would ever need to do that unless really really cold. And in that case maybe it stalls and you need to restart another time. The choke from Predator slowly shuts off within a couple seconds as is

As I understand you didn't cut any wire, just tap on yhem for channel 1 and 3. So I guess you can still operate the generator from the original controls, unless the choke can't be operated with the actuator installed???

Ive got the exact same 4 Channel Relay and have connected it to my Predator 3500 Generator with Actuator. I had to place the jumper on the relay in the position where it supplies momentary connection if the associated button is pressed. I can only activate one relay at a time for some reason. So when I press A and B together both relays are not energized and operable. In the video you show the ability to activate both at the same time. I cannot figure this out. So I cannot have the actuator activate the choke AND have the starter engaged. So it does not allow start unless I press A first and have the starter turning and then very quickly Release A and push B to open the Choke. This does not work every time as the engine needs to be spinning with residual inertia and then the choke open at the end of the stroke. It takes many times of trying again and again. Any ideas?

Thanks for the upload @shenanigans one thing i can't figure out is what you did with the negative wires? Did you only splice the no load wires into the the starter and kill switch?

I've watched some other videos with wires galore. Your setup appears simple and clean. One problem I had is when I push the start button and the generator starts the starter remains energized and I have to hit the button a second time to shut off the starter. (generator remains on) Any idea of what I may have done incorrectly?

I don't think any mysteries are revealed. Can you tear it all apart, video everything you did, and then upload a step by step video. I don't have a Predator Generator either, so can you do it on an EU2000? My EU2000i doesn't have an electric start either, so make a video about that as well. Or, just come out and install it for me.
