3 years old Happy Birthday!! and still saving us in 2024!! I just put my yammy back together . It was only running with the choke full on, LOL I actually modified i small rubber hose to keep the choke throttle all the way out. Now it runs with the choke off yea!! but now I am surging, rats!! At least after seeing this video I dont have to do a complete removal of the tupperware. Intresting thing is my pilot (idle) jet doe not seem to have a hole in the bottom, but all the videos show there is on. I even looked with a magnifying glass, curse my old eyes. Oh well here we go again.

I know this is an old post..but it just saved me a new carb for a my Honda. Great video, and one of the best parts about it was reassembling the carb....I would've struggled had I not seen this. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. I had to stop the video quite a few times to catch up with you but was able to remove and clean my carburetor successfully. It now runs like brand new. Thank you for the great instructions. Priscilla
My Honda lawnmower sat all winter and I started it up and it died within seconds. I followed your steps to the T and guess what? The lawnmower runs like it's brand new! Thank you so much. Very easy to follow and great results.
Nice work brother. thumbs up. the q tip polish in the needle port was a nice touch. the only picky part i could find was you didn't snug slight twist the fuel bowel to you feel a natural solid seat on the gasket Hold in place with slight hand grip and bring the bolt up to grip before releasing the hand pressure before tightening Heheh. nothing worse then a leaky fuel bowel after assembly. Great job brother
TOTALLY BAD IDEA, this is a hack method and it resulted in me stripping one of the carb shafts. The first one came out ok, the 2nd shaft stripped, now I need to send for parts. Please remove this video from RU-vid.
Thank you so much for this vid! I had stripped the bottom two bolts preventing me from removing the entire case then the carb. But thanks to your awesome vid carb removal is so easy! Thank you again!
I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. ru-vid.comUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
Love this lawnmower ru-vid.comUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend although it has a smaller cut in the grass it's easy to maneuver and very lightweight, would highly recommend for somebody older that lives on their own and has to cut their lawn.
Thank you for the video. I order parts today and will be installing on our Predator 8750 gen. You may have but didn't show inline fuses to the relay and actuator. I'll add 2 fuses. I don't want to burn down my generator with these inexpensive parts. I'm going to see if I can wire the 4th relay to the throttle ECS. I'd like to start with the ECS off, then turn it on. Like someone said, adding an on/off switch for the relays/actuator as well. Thanks again for you videos.
Good idea on the fuses. On the fourth relay, the eco throttle is a standard on off switch. With the way I had the board set up it would not allow you to do some of the relays to be momentary on and some of them to be momentary off and then others to be latching. So with the board I had you would have to essentially hold the button down in order for it to be in the on or off position.
Great video! I got both of my EF2000iS generators running again. I have older model gennys and couldn't get the emulsion tubes out but they are running great now anyway. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you! My low hour ef2000is is running like garbage unless i keep full choke on. While this was more than i expected to get a carb off and clean it i appreciate the video. I'll probably be trying this sometime this weekend so i can hopefully run my AC unit offgrid in a couple weeks while i get my solar power system setup.
Great job on this tutorial, my 2009 ef2000is does not have the emulsion tube that can be unscrewed out of the carb there is no slot for the flathead screwdriver. Have you seen this before? Is there a way to remove it?
That's what I thought but I wasn't sure, I assume I would use a small flat head to apply pressure to the top of the emulsion tube and push down towards the fuel bowl.
It's stuck in there pretty good tried soaking it in wd40, and I tried flat head resting on top of the emulsion tube, and a punch through the butterfly valve after removing it and gave it a couple good taps with a ballpen hammer with no movement. Any suggestions?
@Shananigans after all this work taking apart twice, I missed looking at the little main jet screw. It was clogged. Started right up. Great video. Thank you.
Yup… tried to do this and the carburetor screws aren’t coming coming out. I have the two nuts tight against each other. They’re even starting to strip and when I try to loosen it the screw, the nuts just come out together.
That sucks!. I've heard of others that have had the same issue. I do far I haven't ran into that problem. Good luck. I guess you get to disassembled the thing. :(
I know this is an older video, but ive done a valve adjustment and still hard to pull, doesnt want to run, and making a clanking noise. Any ideas where to look next?
Making noise is never good. Remoce the recoil and see if you get any up and down play on the flywheel. Look for any bolts that may have broke holding the bottom case half together or cranckshaft bearings that may be worn.
@Shananigans thanks for the quick reply. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the flywheel is still hard to spin with the spark plug removed, that should eliminate valve adjustment as the issue?
If you have the work plug out and it's still hard to pull over it sounds like someone may have ran the machine without oil mixed in the gas. 9 times out to 10:00. This will seize the bearing on the connecting rod and will be hard to pull over.
@Shananigans that would definitely make sense given the time of year it seized up. Lots of part timers in the winter! Thanks for the great info and quick replies. Appreciate it!
Did everything you said did you step by step in at work perfectly until the new fuel filter went empty. I don’t understand this happened to my other mower too. I’m getting no fuel to the fuel filter.. please help.
I just checked the cap and blew all the small port holes. I could think find. I’ve cleaned all the debris out of them and I can breathe through them. I’ll try it out tomorrow. I have a riding mower with 18 hp Kohler pro and it’s doing the exact same thing. I’ve cleaned the carburettor three times and still seems like there’s what I’ve heard is a Vapor lock or air pocket in the line. After about 10 minutes, the fuel filter is empty and I’ve got a blow through the cap to force fuel back into the filter and then restart it. This is driving me insane with this particular problem.
On the Kohler is there a vacuum fuel pump or a mechanical fuel pump? If it's the vacuum fuel pump, check the vent line going over to the fuel pump. I've seen those get tiny holes and cracks in them and they don't pump fuel like they should. I've also seen the diaphragms go bad in the pump. On the mechanical pump. I've seen the diaphragm go bad in those also.
Mine was slightly different but boy a ton of fluid flush put it back together, new spark plug, new air filter and bam... good as new. Also check a different video where the guy buys treads for the rear tires and sheet metal screws them on. I did that and it's even better than new grip.
Tried removing posts with the dual reverse nut method, and just stressing out the threads with no post movement. Any suggestions on how to get the post out if the technique used in this video doesn't work?
I've had a few others got me up enjoy that. Try tapping on them if you can or breathing then up with a heat gun. I did 2 of these neck to back the other day and haven't ran into any issues.
Hey man I know it’s an old video, but I brought my lawn mower out of storage from a long hiatus. Wouldn’t start so I followed your video and cleaned out the carburetor. Started on first pull, but I noticed it ran at a high RPms. Tried adjusting everything I saw, but can’t get it to go back to normal RPMs. The wire and rod are in place
Why dont you show the part you put away the double nuts to put back again the throttle. Thank you now i am stuck in that part because i can't handle to put those nuts away
