“If it bleeds we can kill it” has to be one of my favourite movie lines Also Billy’s line “There is something out there waiting for us and it ain’t no man. We are all gonna die” awesome line
The Original Predator movie had a great cast, great character development, tight plot- get to tha choppa, pacing, humor, memorable quotes and one liners, Also Had scenes feelings of laughter, sadness, fear of the unknown, suspense- isolation, mysticism, tension all tied together with an amazing phenomenal musical theme/score. Lightning in a bottle.
Too many great one-liners in this movie. Poncho's response to Billy when he said, "I'm scared Poncho!" "Bullshit says Poncho". "You ain't afraid of no man", and then Billy responds with, "There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man". CLASSIC!!
Who'd a thought that the original movie from 1987 was the best Predator movie ever! Character development, script, storyline all just fit and made a hell of a film.
Thats why I prefer older movies more. I do appreciate the photography and some of the cgi in present movies but to me I love the characters and story the most, I mean thats what a movies is all about!

I wouldn’t say it has character development, but to all else I agree. I would add that the older movies have their fair share of non verbal scenes, which I soooo love.
My favorites would be “if it bleeds we can kill it’ “there’s something out there waiting for us and it ain’t no man’ “The demon who makes trophies of man’ and the fan favorite “get to the chopper’
My favorite from when I first watched and still to this day is Poncho's: "Not a thing. Not a fuckin trace. No blood. No bodies. We hit NOTHING!" The suspense after the shootout, the music, the delivery of line sends chills every time. This movie is chalked full of badass quotes, but this right here is the pinnacle of the suspense is killing me! Such a badass movie. I wish more than anything music and movies went back to the 80s. I was born in the wrong generation man. 80s never dies over here!
Jesse Ventura is the ultimate Badass, with that chew in his mouth, every time someone notices me bleeding i have to say " i ain't got time to bleed" lol the best line in the movie!
They need the whole quote to give context to Blaine. “You all are a bunch of slack jawed faggots.” Yeah, it’s not fit for our modern times, but it does show typical male dynamics where we can call each other ugly names but still be friends. It’s funny how one line illustrates their commitment to each other because no one took offense. And it was even more important early on when Dillon didn’t get mad about Blaine spiting on his shoe. It’s these little details I obsess about and are organic character building unlike the forced relationships in The Predator.
This never clicked for me as a kid, but do you think the reason the Yautja repeats Arnold's "What the hell are you?" line back to him, is he's misunderstanding it as a warrior's respect, having recognized Arnie as the superior, and attempting to reciprocate that respect back?
My favorite quotes: - I ain't got time to bleed. - Get to the choppa! - If it bleeds, we can kill it. - There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man.
Nope. The lady in the movie says that the Predator comes regularly there in the hot season to hunt for trophies (people). This time the soldiers just happen to have a mission there!
the government had sent another Spec-Ops team before them, that got wiped out, they were sent there on a phony mission to rescue some local politician but the true intention was to find out what happened with the original team(jungle hunter was the one who wiped them out), so in a sense, yes, but the government wasn't aware of aliens there, probably just expected mercenaries hired by the drug cartel or something.
actually, not really, the team was unfortunate enough to be dropped in during a Yautja hunting season. Pretty sure the US government didnt know about Predators yet.
@@MattJunewskiwould it be possible to suspect that both the US Government and the terrorists thought that they were expectedly killing each other, only for neither of them to suspect that the brutal killings on both sides are the handiwork of the Predator?
