The epitome of a gentle giant, too. Everyone who ever talks about him says he was such a soft spoken and sweet person. It's a tremendous shame and a loss that he died young.
I doubt they could ever remake Predator better than the 1987 version ... and if they somehow managed to, there is no way they could compose a better original soundtrack.
Why can't just stop comparing the sequels to the original and enjoy them ? I bet real predator fans would appreciate the sequels. The soundtracks are still the greatest things about these movies.
@John MacTavish Yup. Politics will not let it happen. It would have to have leading parts taken by women which would destroy the testosterone filled atmosphere
They don't make movie scores anything like this anymore unfortunately. When Alan Silvestri's time is up, everyone will reference Back to the Future in his obituary. But THIS in my opinion, was the best piece of music he ever wrote.
Said the youtube commentor without an ounce of knowledge on music theory or history, who would be unable to legitimately explain why or how music isnt the same with a gun to their head. But yes, everything was automatically better "back in my day".
We begin finding our men. We found them sometimes without their skins... and sometimes much, much worse. ..."El cazador trofeo de los hombres" means "the demon who makes trophies of men".
The demon who make trophies of men.....took me awhile to figure out what she said. Bad ass flick. Still my favorite movie of all time till this day. Not rocky, creed, aliens (2nd movie with the marines), miracle mile, that's right, miracle mile. None of them come close to a movie you never get tired of watch in
Yes, agreed! All the guys who died in the movie... came back to life in the credits. It provided the right lift to your spirits after that somber helicopter ride out of the jungle.
yeah they move smile and a freeze frame to credit their name with this music is all macho. i get a goose bump every time i wast arnold in this credits..such a machoistic.
Although the sequel wasn't as cool, you somewhat were engaged to keep watching this series. For the time, this was original and fresh and nothing will compare!
So true, actually thought to re-watch some of these tonight. Back in the day, everything that had Arnold or Stallone was good. There was no question about it. :)
IF "PREDATOR" HAD BEEN A WEAK SLOW MOVING DUD OF A MOVIE, THIS AWESOME FANTASTIC THEME SONG BY ALAN SILVESTRI WOULD HAVE STILL MADE ME FEEL GOOD ABOUT GOING TO SEE IT. BUT PREDATOR WAS NOT A DUD !!!! IT WAS FANTASTIC ACTION TREASURE !!!! MONTHS BEFORE I WENT TO THE GREEN ACRES MULTIPLEX IN VALLEY STREAM, NASSAU COUNTY NEW YORK TO SEE IT I SAW THE PREVIEW !! THE "PREDATOR" PREVIEW WAS MAGNIFICENT !! THE FILM WAS EVEN BETTER !!!! THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES !!!! THANK YOU Bob Saget FOR POSTING THIS GREAT MUSIC FILM SCORE !!!! THANK YOU YOU/TUBE !!!!
Absolutely. It has structure similarities to Die Hard.. Besides the big themes the music follows developments and movements in the scenes... its so well done..
I read that Arnold was approached to do a remake of the original. Now I think it would be better to get him and Danny Glover together and do a Predator 3. I really REALLY hope something like that will happen.
You can thank arnold for recommending Stan Winston to design the predator, the crappy suit with Jcvd in it was never going to work. A special shout out to James Cameron who told Stan winston once hed like to see a creature with mandibles. Best tough guy movie in the world I love this since my childhood.
Its a very nice moment when I'm listening to these soundtracks when playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain especially in the African Jungles with some sneaking techniques.👍
This is an amazing peice indeed. I always felt that this was a the Predator's theme. The perfect theme to describe something so terrifying yet amazing.
A Film so awesome that in literally other film, the smile to camera shots over the credits would ruin it, but in this. they're just cool, they earned those cheesy grins.
Yeah right! Even when Carl Weathers catches his gun and then cheesey grins at the camera , it's still kind of ok and you can totally forgive him! Even though he did look like a dick...
i wonder how he told everybody what he went through those days when he got home.. like: "oh yes i was trapped in the forest just fighting a fuckin alien"
I love the movie and music... Got it on dvd, blue ray and still vhs as well:-) heard that the predators pay great homage to the original movie and the soundtrack by debney is quite good as well...
arnold the man of confidence, when he says "i can b killed". the credit where everyone move smile and a freeze frame to credit their name with this music is all macho. i get a goose bump every time i watcht arnold in this credits. such a bravery it portrays. unbelievable strong antogonist ever made.
"As long as you hit that wire with the connecting hook at precisely eighty-eight miles per hour the instant the lightning strikes the tower, everything will be fine."
Can't deny the similarities but he had just finished up BTTF when he composed this. I think he took it over the top with Predator, absolutely grand on every level.
This reminds me of the Cleveland cavs coming back down from 3-1 against the warriors in the NBA finals lol idk why tho when they won game 5 I thought of this song 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I play this theme on any jungle map in any multiplayer game. Goes perfect with ghost recon wildlands, *spoilers* which had a mission where the ghosts encounter a yautja. Great mission
So cant wait for the new Predators film in July, bit disappointed Arnold turned down a cameo though, would have been interesting to find out whatever happened to Dutch
