Recreating a 1995 analogue Ruffneck track with Ableton Live and the hunt for samples. See DJ Predator's facebook page at / hardcoremusic . Find me on Facebook: / statenhal
As a producer that worked with the original hardware aswell as software & also performed in the Statenhal (haha) i tell u thats an awesome recreation, most noobs wont hear the difference on the dancefloor, good job on the vid too & to keep it oldschool... 5 stars :)
I didn't see any information about the drummachines they used back then, so here is: Back in those days, they used the legendary Roland TR 909 drum machines, with a lot of overdrive, sou you can make your own beat with a good emulator, for example: TN 909. It's free and it's the best that you can find for free. Nice job by the way (Y)
why not simply use an actual 909 BD sample and add distortion instead of mucking about with a vst? they probably used that or a real 909 back in the day too.
I i would have done this remake today I would've definitely used the tr 909. And probably an actual juno alpha 2. But at this time I was pretty new to ableton live and used whatever would sound close. If you check my later remakes you see me move towards using more and more of the original gear. And nowadays with the roland legendary line basically anything can be remade just as it was done back then with the hardware.
Lekkere uitleg :) Maarreh, ik zit momenteel nogal in mijn Chicago trax fase, dus dit bewaar ik wel weer voor een ander bui ;) hmm, ik merk dat het wel invloed heeft deze track.. Damn. Fuck it, ik ga raveology draaien. Helter Skelterrrrr!
Dik hoor. Maar nothing beats the original! Maar tof gemaakt, respect! Ook leuk dat de makers/producers van het origineel ook nog gereageerd hebben op de video!
what would be a tool you would recommend for non-music majors to try and put some stuff together to try to make some "hardcore" as a free-time hobby?=) Digital or analogue, doesn't matter.
Any DAW nowadays will work, whatever you feel most comfortable with. For me that's ableton. Try out the Roland Cloud VSTs, they offer the whole range of classic machines, 909,808, 303, juno, jupiter 8,you name it. It has everything you need to get going.
Vroegah toen alles beter was, maar we konden dromen van de hardware en techniek die nu voor handen is om muziek te maken. Mja mijn S950 gaat binnenkort marktplaats op.
This is amazing, fantastic job and thank you!!! You'll most likely never do or even note this but I just have to ask because this remake is the shit: The kick (and the synths) from this one "ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MSdnTwPqA-s.html" always blew my head away and I have never been able to come close to that sound, so... would you... please... kind of... making... some short clip... or something... about that... I subbed this channel...?!?
