This Olympics team is not an all-star team. The 11th and 12th men are not going to receive any meaningful minutes in important games. You can't have Kawhi or Jimmy in roles like that. In the last Olympic it was a 9 man rotation and they had Jerami Grant, Keldon Johnson and JaVale McGee in those positions.

Booker was the 3rd most important player on the 2020 team (mostly due to his defense). He's also become a better defender since then and his defense fits FIBA style better than PG's does. Booker also provides a lot more off-ball offensively than PG. There is no reason PG13 should make it over Book.

If anything Tatum should start over the nearly 40 yr old Lebron if you want more youth also kawhi is a much better defender than Lebron as well at this point
