I feel that Crown Zenith hits all those points, and with a good amount of time people will come back to it, because of the good experience they all had. Driving its value up.
This is correct. I still have such a want to buy base set due to the memories associated with it. I remember getting my first packs and opening a Shadowless Charizard.
I feel that the hit rates for the 151 bundles are much more controlled ( ~2 per bundle) but the pulls u get are mainly lower rarity. While the hits for etbs are generally in bunches and usually gives more variety (at least in my opinion). Don’t really know if it’s true or not but that’s just what I feel
My fav set to open was 151. Only set I opened that I actually enjoyed opening and pulling cards regardless of the value. Also it does lend well to try to master set.
Its difficult as the line is blurry. A lot of people consider modern from the XY era. Though we have a timeline, and now the Sword&Shield is the next-gen modern.
❤love your videos. Can you speak at all to the potential of perceptively shady market tactics and presumed artificial price inflation by TCGplayer and Ebay since TCGs is actually owned by ebay. Whom benefits from higher sales, and owns the company that lists the market data the majority of the player base uses?
I have had some really good UPCs and some really really bad ones for 151. If this set had a booster box, I think it would have been so much better to crack open and keep sealed.
How did he spend more money? His two etb’s and 1 upc should have cost him $220 usd retail and your 12 bundles should have cost $324 usd retail and that’s if you could find them at $27, which was next to impossible. So in my math, he paid $100 less and got 4 times more value than your bundles. I personally opened a case of boosters on release day and got crap compared to other lesser costing products. Bundles suck!
The problem with trying to create a Channel based on investing is that it’s extremely boring and repetitive, and once people learn it themselves there really is no reason to watch this type of content, if you want to grow more rapidly you gotta make different content, investment videos should be short and sweet and give or take, make videos about your collection, make videos about going to yard sales and local stores looking for good stuff to buy or invest in, just something other then here todays market here’s some charts we’ll talk for 15 minutes about these topics then bye, as a viewer we just end up finding another RU-vidr who we find personally does it better and then eventually stop watching these kind of videos all together. You can only learn so much about what’s good and what’s not good ideas in Pokemon investing and 99% it’s subjective.
When I was 10 I pulled that first edition shadowless lizard at the card store. My father told me to walk away, I got what I wanted, but store owner talked me into trading for 10 more base packs. What a mistake.
