As a totally blind Longhorns fan, i rely on the announcer for the job he does, even if he leads the fight chant, that's his duty and part of the job, consider yourself lucky you got full vision, as sight itself is not everything the experience has to offer. I do appreciate the PA man, as should you, as there will be a time where there won't be no announcers, and you'll be wanting to hear one, no doubt about it.
I hope I don’t get destroyed here by my comments. This pregame is boring! The fight song is so slow it sounds like a melody instead of something to pump you up. Everything except the national anthem, the eyes of Texas, and march grandioso were sleepy. The announcer during the band performance is off and it sounds weird. Build a better product please.
Everybody's got an opinion. I love the Texas fight song and think it's the best in college football, but I'm biased. It's tradition and gives most Longhorn fans a great sense of pride. I'm not sure why you think it's slow. It pumps me up! Sorry it doesn't do the same for you. Maybe it will in 50 years.
@@gregg1945 you are right, it’s the best in the country. I agree. I’ve been a Texas fan my whole life. I am also very biased but my comment touches more on an unexciting pregame.
@@Godblessbaseball27 ummm let me put it to you so you can better understand what I’m saying. The fight song isn’t what’s wrong…it’s how slow it’s being played compared to other seasons during pregame. I understand what hard work is, I was in marching band as well. I’m not saying that hard work wasn’t put into it, rather I’m saying it’s boring and slow. Hope that helped clarify. And this is a direct representation of the band director choosing to play the fight song slower and not creating a more exciting pregame. Nothing to do with the hard work and dedication from the students.
