So informative. I am 25 with a new On-X mechanical mitral heart valve due to severe MS. My surgeon encouraged me that pregnancy was better tolerated in patients like me more now than ever. However, I am on BC and not currently at risk of pregnancy. I am becoming increasingly convinced that my husband and I will need to find alternative options for growing our family. This medical journey keeps developing deeper with the more I learn.
