So belly oils are really good, not because they cure stretchmarks because they do generally happen depending on genetics and how stretchy your skin is normally, but oils and moisturiser really help with the itchiness that can happen because the skin is stretching fairly quickly, keeping the skin moist helps stop it from cracking and you are already uncomfortable.. you don't need itchiness driving you mad as well!
I'm not even pregnant or planning to be anytime soon lol, I'm just watching because I want as many Hannah vids as possible before you go on matternity leave 😂
I'm not at all pregnant or planning to become pregnant anytime soon. I'm just a long time subscriber who is interested to hear how everything is going for you. Wishing you all the best with your final few weeks!
The yoga ball was a lifesaver for me, not just for being pregnant but to get the baby to sleep 😂 bouncing on it was the only thing that would calm her down a lot of the time. She's 3 now and still loves it!
I'm not pregnant but I love down dog for yoga. I have a lot of chronic pain, and the focus thing is so helpful for me so I can target (or avoid) areas of trouble.
Not pregnant and no plans to be anytime soon, but a lot of people around me have been having babies recently, and I think it's nice to have recommendations for them! Also just nosy lol
I love Squeezy, I'm still using it 2.5 years after giving birth.:) If you turn on the professional mode under the exercise plan, there is a third option of pelvic floor exercises which tells you to squeeze for a few seconds, hold for a few seconds, release for a few seconds and then rest for a few seconds which is also another amazing way to strengthen those muscles.
Pregnant here! 26th june! :D so fun following your journey. I got PCOS too and it took us 1,5 years with and without treatment (my bmi is too high for ivf).
Ah love this! My pillow was my favourite thing for pregnancy, also my playsuits as I was 7-8 months in the hottest part of 2020 summer. I wore maternity clothes for the first 17 months of my daughter's life - the stretch was just so good! But now I'm really enjoying my shape back in normal jeans, funny how it changes.
i’ve been anticipating this video! i’ve been using the what to expect app, which has been great! also looking into a pool membership for the summer. this september baby bump is going to be brutal in the summer months!
My twins due date is beginning of Sept (more likely middle of august) and I'm with you on the brutal summer months!! Planning to spend a lot of time in my brothers kids pool hahaha
I love the Down Dog apps! I use their meditation, yoga and barre apps, and recently I've started trying out their HIIT app too. Mars is my favourite voice too haha.
I can't remember half of my pregnancy favourites to be honest. I do remember rubbing oil as a ritual as well, such a nice "baby and me" moment to end the day. Also, the itchiness of that stretched out skin was driving me nuts and oil helped a little. I slept with 4 pillows including a pregnancy pillow. So lovely when I needed to pee 20 times per night, but oh well. The comfort was still worth it. They're also really nice to support your baby once it's there. I only sold mine after about 9-12 months with baby. That ball is going to come in handy as well after birth. It's a good support for kegel exercises or to give your pelvic muscles a rest. The dress and the jumpsuit will work great post partum I think. Your belly will probably not go back to normal immediately and I think they'll work nice for breastfeeding as well.
Great video Hannah! I'm currently 9.5 weeks postpartum and my pregnancy favourites were definitely my PT workouts (I just continued them through pregnancy and they really helped prepare my body for birth), my BBHugMe pregnancy pillow, my yoga ball, and latterly my pregnancy support belt!
fitting for bras is never easy, good to hear that the customer services for the place you got the swimsuit was able to be super helpful with getting the sizing right.
I am not pregnant but the pregnancy pillow that you are using in bed looks good. I've picked up a lot of weight due to medication I had to be on, I sometime struggle to get comfortable. I just realised I can go swimming for exercise. 😂
Hi Hannah, could you please share what second hand stores you've been buying maternity clothes from? I'm trying to find some in London (I prefer to be able to try things on). I'm now 36 weeks but might still need some nursing options if that works out for baby and me!
The oil is probably great for hydrating the skin, because as it stretches it can become dehydrated and itchy - this way it will keep it soft, firm and hydrated whilst preventing flakiness and itch. A lotion or body butter would be good also.
I LOVE swimming while pregnant. The weightlessness.. Aaah. Haven't been able to go much between work and a two year old, but I've stolen some mornings for myself.
Lovely video! Not an expecting parent, but hopefully someday. It is really helpful to see what planning for pregnancy and new baby can look like (esp to know thrift shops are a great option!) Would you be open to making personal finance videos pertaining to family planning?
You're lucky your baby on board badge works. I have a pretty massive one and regularly have to stand on my commute to work as people just don't bother getting up. I'm too shy and awkward to ask people to move. But so far ONE person has gotten up and offered me their seat
My cousin swam and did aqua aerobics right up until a couple days before she gave birth (we all knew she was in labour when she didn't turn up to a session)
From a pregnant person who doesn't wear jumpsuits...how do you pee when wearing one? I constantly have to pee, and can't imagine basically having to strip down to pee. Lol
Stretch marks do have a genetic component, but much like most things, lifestyle factors (in this case oil and cream) can reduce your odds/severity of stretch marks
I really loved being pregnant and enjoyed all of it despite gaining 25kilos 😂😂😂; I loved sleeping with lots of pillows and hydrating, but my favourite thing, by far, was food🤣🤣🤣
Genuine questions if someone with a stoma has a c-section does that mean you need a new stoma ? Also how does a stoma work with excess skin or belly weight after pregnancy
Did a whole video on my ‘Hannah Witton’ channel about pregnancy & stoma and talked about birth and a stoma in other episodes of The Hormone Diaries on that channel too!
Do you think there would be any relief given by the JL pregnancy pillow that you got for period pain? I tend to get a LOT of pain in my back and sleeping can be difficult because of that, do you think a pregnancy pillow could potentially ease that? Is there anything in that - using a pregnancy pillow during your period?
Good afternoon Hannah thanks for everything you share I appreciate you so much xoxo 😘 💕💖💕💙💚💜🌈💜🌈🌈🧡💛💛💕💖❤️💗💖💛💙🧡🌈🌈🧡💚💙💛💚🧡💜❤️💗💖💕✨💚🧡🌈🌈💜🧡💚💚✨✨💕💖❤️❤️💕✨✨🧡🌈🌈💜🧡💚💙💙💙✨💗❤️
@@morehannah Cool!! so happy to hear that you're still up for it! I really want to fully believe that fitness can last through pregnancy as there are so many badass women, like Shauna Coxsey rn, who are doing it, but love to hear more testimonials :D
The app I had gave options of fruit, sweet treats or animals. 40 weeks was watermelon, wedding cake or baby lamb. In my head none of those are the same size and I'm not sure which scared me more honestly.
