PREGNANCY LOSS | Miscarriage at 19 weeks 

Thank you for sharing your story. I lost my first baby a few weeks ago at 21 weeks. We went in for our anatomy ultrasound and she had no heartbeat. It was so shocking because I had just had a normal OB appointment two weeks ago and she was fine. It has been the most emotionally painful and lonely thing I have ever experienced. I’m so sorry for your loss, but thank you again for sharing. In a way it makes me feel less alone. ❤️

Last April I had a late miscarriage at 21 weeks gestation I gave birth to a beautiful baby who girl who i named Jessica. And I feel like no one really talks about it and I still feel like people don't know what to say to me even know and when I tried to look up online most people that were telling their stories were mainly 1st trimester and I found it hard wondering if the way I was feeling and thinking was normal. I lost my fourth baby which was my baby girl at 6 mo pregnant. My first 3 babies were boys. She was our fourth baby. It was the hardest day of my life. But,God saw us through it!! A month after I lost her I got pregnant with my fourth Son. God has such a special gift waiting for us in heaven. I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family 🙏

Thank you for sharing your story. I just had a miscarriage a week ago and I was as far along as you exactly. It’s heartbreaking and I feel empty... I’m not sure I’m ready to face the world b/c like you said everyone where I live knew about it and were excited! This was our first child..and we have already struggled to get pregnant so yes I just wanted to shout out why us why our baby?! I know there’s a reason and we must believe that God has bigger plans for us. The verses you shared were helpful so I will definitely be writing those down. And I think I will go back to journaling as well to help me heal. Again thank you b/c I know I am not alone. We named our baby girl Lindy Sophia.

I am so sorry Mrs Vera. I can understand the pain. I have also been through the same. Some of the miscarriage myths most worrisome to women are those that blame a woman's physical activity for the loss of a pregnancy. Activities such as exercise, sexual intercourse, horseback riding, and airplane trips are generally believed to cause miscarriage. Such myths also inherently suggest that bed rest will help prevent miscarriage. Therefore, when a woman miscarries, she is bombarded with feelings of inadequacy. She is a woman who cannot carry a pregnancy to term and guilt (for supposedly causing the miscarriage). However, it is important to remember that during a healthy first-trimester a woman may continue with her normal physical activities without the risk of losing her developing child. For instance, exercise can cause uterine contractions. When this occurs, the contractions may help to expel an already unhealthy pregnancy-one predestined to end early. Exercise merely brings about a miscarriage sooner, helping the body to expel a pregnancy that would have ended anyway. I believe therapy will be the best option at this point. In my case my counsellor at Bio tex was of great help to me. I do hope that to others it will also be beneficial to them too.

I also missed miscarriage but God only gives me strength, through His WORD I feel relieved.. after reading His Word I became Strong and I fully understand that He is in control of everything especially I received God's Word about His promised to Sarah and Abraham I can relate those verses that oneday it will happen in His perfect timing. I love this verse and I always meditate this as well in ISAIAH 55:8-9 it says, 8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

This is almost exactly happened to me last week at 16 weeks. I had to hold my baby in until i got to the hospital. I had a DNC and I’m still in a lot of pain. My emotions are all over the place and I still have to bury my baby. This is so difficult to deal with. This was my only baby. My daughter was also as big as my hand. 😩😭. This really hit home for me 😣.

I am very sorry for your experience. I was just wondering, how could you not want the ultrasound when the nurse didn't detect the heartbeat. I would insist they will find it no matter what. It would make me restless and paranoid otherwise.

I lost my daughter at 19w3 days too.. we're pregnant with our rainbow baby now. I'll hit the same gestation I was when I lost her a week and a day after the anniversary of her due date (she was due April 12, I'll be 19+3 again April 20th). All our genetic tests have come out normal and healthy, and we lost our baby due to a hiking accident so we're so hopefully.

i also lost my baby at 19 weeks and 2 days . they doctors did warn me when i was 9 weeks that i was going misscary weeks went by thought i beat the odds and proved them wrong they dont not tell me why i was going to misscary they only told me it looked i was i asked and they never had answers. when i did misscary and had my baby thats when they decided to tell me the reason. oh they could of gave me a shot or sewed me up since my cervix was weak to hold a baby . what made me angry is when they told me they could of or we should of . i had bleeding episodes went to the emergency room more than once they kept telling me everyting is fine and sent me home

I lost my baby boy I was 19 weeks along ,my first pregnancy. I didn’t know I was pregnant either and that’s what makes it so bad 😔 I miss my baby and I said if I get pregnant again I just wanna do all I can for that baby I want a healthy baby and one I can carry to term as well.

I can’t believe the midwife let you go home when she couldn’t find a heartbeat at 16 weeks, no, this is not normal and not „too early”, the heartbeat should be strong and consistent as of the 6th week of pregnancy at EVERY checkup. She should have immediately sent you to a hospital. No heartbeat means miscarriage, which means you miscarried at 16 not 19 weeks, or even earlier. It takes approximately 3 weeks for the body to „realize” a missed miscarriage happened and react. I am so so sorry that because of doctor’s incompetency you had to suffer so much. D&C is a much more humane procedure at this stage of pregnancy. I have also lost my first pregnancy and I completely understand what you feel, but I am mad at the same time that they let you go through that, it was really dangerous... Sending lots of love...

This kind of pain would at least be shortened if people didnt stigmatize home dopplers. Literally every day I listen to my babys heartbeat because I have bleeding of unknown cause. At some point, there is no way you can NOT find a heartbeat when it is 16 weeks. The only downside to fetal dopplers at home is false reassurance by the heartbeat when you do not feel enough movement. But at that point, you would not need a doppler as the movwments are more important to pay attention to. I do not understand the reason for not wanting to use one before you feel movements. I would have been a wreck when my bleeding started at 13 weeks if I at least didnt get to hear the heartbeat before I got to see my doctor. She actually reccomended I get one to avoid these kinds of situations if it will help me. Poor girl lived with her dead baby inside her for a month or wven more and yet people demonize fetal dopplers . SMH

Be careful posting your happiness to Public there are people with evil eyes and this reason is why I don’t tell the public anything I worry for things like this … illness ,miscarriage you don’t know who is secretly jealous of you this is an Arabic and Jewish superstition in my family keep your life to yourself just something my grandma always told me I had two miscarriages a few years ago I also had a very jealous ex boyfriend who was praying I would not be happy
