I think sharing memories is completely different than family vlogging, I feel like going into this with the mindset that your baby is not the star of the channel is a great mindset especially with all the issues with family vlogging. I think we can all say we are excited to be introduced to the little one and seeing how your lives change during this new chapter and I know I will be happy to watch anything you put out, but don't feel like you have to share sometimes the best memories are kept within your little family ❤️

Just found your channel… when looking for Disneyland planning content…love it! I just retired after teaching kindergarten for 35 years. Had a Winnie Pooh nursery, and am so the planner(I feel we are soul sisters) I too had trouble coming up with names for my kids. Used unisex for both of mine (Taylor David and Morgan Marie is where we landed- no students with those names!) Good luck and enjoy every min… mine are both married now and my best memories are our Disney trips !

I’m happy you’re able to take 12 weeks of maternity leave - those first few weeks are incredibly special (and challenging)! That was my question and no, I’m not USA-based. Very grateful to be in Canada with 12-18 months of paid maternity leave.

I love how close in our pregnancies we are! Third trimester has been a triiiiip. I am with you on soooo many of things you've shared, Alyssa! LOL. The lack of weird cravings - I have just been craving regular things I crave but just more frequently. The sleep has also been getting worse, which sucks cus the baby grows SO MUCH this trimester, but then we get less sleep... lol. Also! We have like 3 different pregnancy pillows and I have been rotating between them based on my discomfort. I use the wedge for afternoon naps on the couch, but I loooooove the U-shape pillow (we also have a Queen bed lollll so we've been squished). People should keep their mouth shut on your size - all our bodies are sooo different and GOOD JOB GARRETT! Those are the things Jacob will tell me too.... We've also started taking our classes - childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum... OH MAN. OMG. Trying to record baby movements on the phone is exactly how you described it HAHA. Guys, literally, SAME re: baby names. We had a whole list of girl names and zero boy names. But we know we're having a boy, and we're still like thinking about waiting until we meet him out-of-the-womb before finalizing the name toooooo. Okay enough of my novel. I'm sooooo excited for you guys and I love watching these videos :) d

I agree. “Disney” is the star of your program. It would be enough for baby to have a “cameo” in your Disney programs.

So happy for the update! My experience with how active the baby is now is that that's how the baby will be after they're born. Being pregnant with my daughter was like being pregnant with Eeyore and that is exactly her activity level after she was born. Very laid back. VERY laid back. My son was a different story. I was totally pregnant with Tigger. When he was born that activity level continued. Lol....they're 21 and 15 now. Wonderful memories. Enjoy every minute of this.❤

I would love to see maybe a baby shower gift vlog and a nursery tour! I don't really have any ideas for vlogs after baby Lefferson is born but whatever you do I will definitely keep watching! I completely agree with no filming any part of the birth. That is such a special moment between you two.

I love how grounded you guys are. Don't feel pressure to overshare anything about the baby. I can't believe some of the people are asking certain things.. While we love you guys, there are some things that should be private and for yourselves to experience together as new parents.

Love you guys and I am sure that for the first 3 months you probably won't have much time to vlog. Take time and fully enjoy your self and each other. If you decide to vlog we will watch what ever you would like to post. With or with out baby. Love to see baby lefferson once in a while IF you are already posting but for the first year you really need to be together by yourselves. Aww you both are screaming with so much joy!!! It’s been a wonderful surprise watching you both evolve into this little family. I have 5 children and have always videotaped the trip to the hospital and all that “fun stuff”, I agree, it should be only for you. Someday your little one will cherish watching themselves come into the world (I didn’t video the actual birth scene lol goodness no), but there are ways around that. It’s something you will always remember and the baby will forever have that memory. Once it’s over…it can’t be filmed ever again…so please think about preserving this miraculous experience. You might want to try the Boppy total body pregnancy pillow. I used mine for years after my babies were born and even used it for a nursing pillow if you're planning to nurse. It is s shaped, so I would use the smaller pillow part under my belly and then use the longer thinner part between my knees. It didn't take up a lot of extra room in our bed, so may be an option for you. I saw Bed, Bath and Beyond has them.

My babies are grown, but I think content with day with a newborn , etc would be great support for new moms , so they know they aren't alone! :)

I had 3 beautiful babies and we never knew the gender for any. It was magical in the room bc my midwife and the nurses were so excited to see. My midwife allowed my husband to announce the gender to all - it was very special and something we didn’t think of, she did!

I think it would be sweet and amusing to do a virtual baby shower. I’d watch even if I weren’t pregnant about baby products to give tips to my family who are having babies.

You should do a video now of what baby gear you’re getting and what you think you need and then do another video reacting to it at about 6 months of what you actually used and liked!

Just in the baby clothing retail, fall clothing is out, some winter wear. Its always a season ahead. Go by height and weight on clothing. That what i give on new parents.

Way to go to hold out on finding out the gender! With both my children, we never learned the gender. It was REALLY a special moment. And it was funny when my husband was told he could tell me. I never had a pregnancy pillow, I just used a normal pillow or king size pillow between my legs. But I have always done that. Congratulations! And happy 3rd Trimester. Really talk to people about advice for the 4th Trimester.

Those are great birthday dates! I have a daughter born November 7th and another born November 8th.

I know most people think it's a girl but I see you having a boy.if you did have triplets however I see two girls and a boy. Not projecting that but I can see you both with a family that size. November 8th is my late mil birthday so it would be great if baby actually comes that day!

If not done already, sign up for daycare NOW. Many places have a waiting list, trust me LOL Definitely take time to enjoy the little one!!! They grow so fast. Many other YTs who have had children during this journey have also taken time off from filming. I would appreciate whatever you decide to post and when. It is not about us, it is about you!!

It really is hard naming your baby as an educator. I have two boys; didn’t know gender until birthday. I had former students with their names BUT those boys were standout students; a good feeling came along with them.

It's a shame that the U.S. is so ridiculous about not giving enough leave and not even having to give paid leave. Grr! On a happier note though - you seem like you'll be awesome parents! Congratulations!

Your cat may come around. My sister’s dog was terrified of my daughter but once my sister had a baby that all changed! I would love to see baby item hauls baby clothes hauls those type of videos. I’m also short and have no torso so baby had no where to go either. I found it really uncomfortable to be in the car as I got into the third trimester since baby had no where to go but my pelvis! You guys.....I feel like every decision you have made is a smart one! You tell people the names you decided on, and there will always be someone that has something snarky to say about it! We don't need to know your baby's name until we meet him/her. As for recording the time you go to the hospital up until the baby is born, I feel like you should do that....but only for yourselves!! That's not a video to put up for us to see, or anyone, for that matter. That would be for the two of you to look back on and see the things you don't even remember doing or saying. Things can get a little crazy during that time, and I think you both would enjoy looking back at that. And it's something you can show your little one when he/she gets older. Always know that all of us Lefferson fans will be here. You guys take as much time as you need to bond, get to know, and learn all about your little one. Your YT channel should be the LAST thing on your mind during that time, and I'm sure it will be. We'll be over here cheering you on, thinking of you, beaming with happiness for you, and knowing how in awe you will be as you stare at your little sweet pea. My son and his wife found out they were having a girl right away. They had to go the IVF route. But, they kept the name a secret. Grandparents were the first to know. And we found out when we meet her. They took the first 24 hours for the three of them to bond. Then her parents came up. Then I came up. Garrett think of handle height for the stroller!! My son is 6’8” and daughter in love is 5’2”. You push the stroller a lot! I think it is great for you to have things for you and your family.

I got those same comments about looking further along!…..it’s like what do you expect me to say to that

You guys should check out Ashley Wright channel . She has 2 little girls and gives alot of tips for organizing and on bringing babies to disney.

If you do share the baby registry you should do it after you have your baby shower. Maybe everybody can send a card. Did you put anything weird or funny on your registry?

Garrett, are you taking 2 weeks off from the due date or from whichever date Alyssa actually gives birth? My husband took 2 weeks off with our firstborn from the due date and then bub was 10 days overdue so hubby only got a couple of days off with him 😢 I just thought our experience might be helpful ❤

Dad's have big changes with the baby coming too. Alyssa does not look big. I felt so much like a cow . My face and neck were huge. Alyssa may feel huge but she doesn't look that huge. It was funny we found that my baby would really move and kick ever time I ate Oreos. Baby names I had picked and stuck with it mostly but I see so many mom's change the baby name once it actually comes. Names out of nowhere. Are cat was so much like a guard cat once the baby came. Even to us she would guard and watch us. It was so funny but we were glad. you guys are looking great. Glad Garrett is so confident about the baby. That means he will be a huge help . Not that there was any doubt but it is great wish more Dad's were like that. We are great full to help with baby gifts. You are like family to us. We love to gift you guys. Look at it this way if we are to gift you stuff you can't use you could always gift to other places in need of baby items. A full win win. Target usually does car seat trade in / trade up when baby gets bigger and you need to get a bigger one. Just so you know that if you need it later. Thanks so very much guys.

Good for you both for not wanting to know the gender of your baby!!! I had 4 babies & also did not know the genders. So no gender reveal parties & no baby showers. Kept the nursery gender neutral, too.

Ya'll are just too cute. My baby will be 42 in Dec. so in a way we had it a lot easier. Didn't know the sex, didn't have so many choices, basically your Mama told you everything you needed to know. As far as sleeping, my ex used to fuss because the baby's kicking would keep him up all night, seriously. I was a secretary at UGA (go Dawgs ((it's required))) and my boss would be dictating and my son would roll over and he would forget what he was saying he was so fascinated. My son has a 16 month old little girl, they didn't take any classes basically because she was finishing her masters in early education and had worked in a day care for years and he was a Navy Corpsman and RT so both had baby and medical knowledge. He had to work in NICCU during his rounds so had handled lots of babies. That came in handy since their baby was a 7 month baby, he got to go to NICCU with her and actually did the assessment on her and put in her IVs.

I don’t think that you should have a “virtual” baby shower. In my opinion, they are too personal to share.

Could you see the baby move?! It’s so weird - like having an “alien” inside your body🤣. My baby would kick hubs during the night!!!
