It’s 30 minutes away today. But the roads were terrible in 1970, so it took much longer.

There wasn't pavement like today. If you drive from teecnospos to shiprock you can still make out the old dirt roads from long ago, they meandered from spring to spring. My grandmothers house to shiprock back then was an hour and a half travel, today it's 15 minutes.
