Originally from Prayagraj, Wardha’s educational journey began in her hometown, but later shifted to Noida.
Despite numerous challenges (including failing the first attempt due to CSAT), she continued her education. She completed her schooling up to Class 10 and then pursued commerce. For her undergraduate studies, Wardha enrolled at Delhi University.
Initially motivated by a desire to contribute to her family’s financial stability, Wardha took up a corporate job. However, her aspiration to serve the nation through civil services led her to leave her job and fully dedicate herself to UPSC exam preparation.
Wardha’s journey is a testament to her resilience, determination, and the unwavering support from her mother. Her success story is truly inspiring.

Preparation Stages: Divide the preparation into three stages - Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Prelims Preparation: Start focused preparation for Prelims from January of the year you are appearing. Art and Culture: Limited output for the input, use selective resources like NCERTs and government websites. Lakshmikant is essential for polity but needs multiple revisions. Major preparation for Mains should be completed by December. NCERT Books: Begin with foundational NCRTs for Polity, History, Geography, and Society. Not necessary to make notes from NCRTs, just understand the gist. Use both old and new NCRTs for different subjects as needed. Standard Books and Resources: Lakshmikant for Polity, Spectrum for Modern Indian History, Vivek Singh for Economy, and Shankar IAS for Environment. For Art and Culture, use class 12 NCERT and the Centre for Cultural Resource and Training website. Science and Technology: Focus on current affairs and class notes. Current Affairs: Follow one newspaper regularly, either The Hindu or Indian Express. Use monthly compilations and make notes for revision before Prelims. Mains Preparation: GS1: Modern Indian History and Art and Culture can be covered through Prelims preparation. Indian Society: Dynamic and current-oriented, use notes and case studies. World History: Focus on major themes like Industrial Revolution, World Wars, and Cold War. Geography: Use NCERTs and online videos for difficult concepts. GS2 and GS3: GS2: Polity, Governance, and Social Justice require Supreme Court judgments, committee recommendations, and data. GS3: Economy, Internal Security, Disaster Management, Environment, and Science & Technology. Focus on current issues and repetitive themes like food processing, land reforms, and inclusive growth. Ethics (GS4): Most important and unique paper, prepare notes on values mentioned in the syllabus with examples of civil servants and leaders. Case studies: Prepare frameworks for repetitive themes like corruption, gender justice, and development vs. ecology. Time management is crucial, focus on both sections equally. Interview Preparation: Different approach needed, be detail-oriented and solution-focused. Thoroughly know your Detailed Application Form (DAF) and current affairs from the past 2-5 months. Prepare notes on every word in your DAF, including personal details and relevant historical or significant events.
