Terrence I just discovered your work five minutes ago, I believe you are one of the best solo piano composers of the beginning of the century. This is incredible. You should be know. Congratulations !!

Went back to this after two months. Got a feeling I'd heard the final chords somewhere. Took me a minute to realize it's very similar to the way Bach's Toccata and Fugue ends!

Well I believe the quote is something like "talent borrows, genius steals." In all honesty, it was not a conscious decision, but I have been a fan of Bach's music since the first time I played his Minuet in G major many years ago from my older brother's piano books.

beautiful prelude. I’m looking forward to more of your thoughtful compositions. I like all the preludes so far especially this one, F# major and the b flat minor….

I just listened to this Composition, and this just became one of my favorite pieces of music ever, I'm genuinely blown away. So dark, so moody, so emotional but also some really exciting variation and the piece always gives you something new to enjoy texturally. Really cool Chopin-esque embellishments and chromaticism, some incredibly rich, crunchy harmonies that are reminiscent of Rachmaninoff, and some gorgeous contrapuntal lines that are honestly reminding me of Bach, and yet I've never heard a Piano Piece that was quite like this one! This piece is just incredibly beautiful, and I'm very excited to hear more of your work!

Thank you Ryan for your extremely kind words! I am humbled by your praise and I truly hope you find more of my pieces to your liking. You're spot on with the musical influences in the piece. Having played piano and listened to music for countless hours on end, those influences can't help but creep in to my work. It's never intentional, just a by-product of where the muse takes me.

I was not familiar with the reference you made, but I checked it out and it certainly bears a striking resemblance to the spot you mentioned. I will have to listen to more of his work as I have liked what I’ve heard so far! Thanks for sharing and for listening!!
