PREMIUM Joying Car Head Unit - one of the BEST I have ever tested - SPDIF Optical & Coax 

Had one years ago that was ok but it broke/overheated the solder joints on the cpu after 2 years. I have fitted the latest generation a few months the ago in one of my cars and just today put a 2nd one in my other car. On top of being probably the greatest aftermarket android unit, their customer service is excellent also. Great accurate to the truth video

No volume knob is a nightmare. It would be good if you could connect a Bluetooth wireless knob.

For all of you that dont have controls on your steering wheel, look up joying additional controls. There is one with an outer ring you can turn for volume control, buttons fpr media, calls and voice command. For only 20 bucks. Its the best ive seen among the brands, i think about getting a joying because of it, despite liking the teyes more (bc of 360 camera option). Mostly because of the volume control ring.

so i came here looking to see if anyone had the same complaint as me for this unit, that the font size was just waaaay too small on all the android menus and google maps. But maybe its just my bad eyes or something. Anyway, they have disabled the font size option for reasons i dont understand, earlier joying units had this option. The manual says the option is there but it is not. I asked support how to do it and they said it was impossible. But there is a way. If you go into developer settings, there is a min width setting that is in pixels. Its a sort of DPI value of some sort. The default is 1200, and setting it lower makes the menus and google map fonts larger. I use 800, and i might change it to 600. But this breaks the stock launcher, which is why i suspect they dont allow font size changes. The stock launcher is not great anyway, AGAMA launcher is much better. So install AGAMA first, switch to it, and then change the developer setting. Other than this issue, which is now resolved for me, the unit is absolutely fantastic. Much better than the POS binize unit i had before. The screen is wonderful, and the unit is comparable in speed to like a pixel3 or something similar, which is absolutely fine for car use.

Unfortunately for me, I am really wanting one that looks OEM in my car (Audi A3 8P), and Joying doesn’t have any that fit. Do you have any experience with Xtrons octa core units (4gb RAM) that you are willing to comment on?

I just got mine a week ago all because of this video (2011 Chevy Tahoe kit os it was plug n play) and I freaking love it!! I wish they had the snapdragon one as plug and play but I might get that one later on and sell this one. Long story less long thanks for the review!

Bought joying 11.6 universal for a tundra 2020 non JBL. Can I use Metra harness? Is it a Plug and play?

NO RADIO I've had mine for 3 years now.. never had the radio working.. tried 2 arials.. can't get an FM signal strong enough for it to work.. right in the city.. it picks up the odd channel.. but not the main ones.. I finally just gave up on it.

Isn't the internal DAC responsible for most of the sound quality coming out of a unit like this? Why no discussion of this, especially since no specifications on audio chips are listed on their page?

It was a good unit until the screen started to blackout and plus no sound I reached out to Joying they was kind enough to send me a new face but I had to pay $40 for shipping. It came back quickly but after 6 months it’s doing the same thing all over again so I gave up on it now I’m going to try Atoto’s 10” screen.

Good god... Everyone has gps via phone... If thats the case ill just use my phone than pay for an overpriced kenwood /pioneer etc. This unit has everything i need.

I love my joying unit except for one thing that's turned into a huge bummer. The OS or the hardware can't play DRM content. If someone has a fix for this I'd love to hear it. RU-vid TV is a no-go.

Thanks for this video, I've just ordered one of the joying 7" units as i prefer to have a flush install in my car, the extra large screen would just get in the way. You mentioned that wireless Android auto is available, but on their website it says there is only wireless car play but wired Android auto only. Which is correct?

I am also interested in SPDIF , not the optical out but the coax out , Also what makes this unit also very attractive for me is the ability to have one of its USB ports as USB otg ( Host) which some older T8 units used to have. In case usb audio player pro app can be installed to this unit ( cheap app) It can control the USB out of the unit for dedicated audio out in terms of bit perfect out ( if the unit has decend USB bus ) . FYI: very little but even The optical out of sony GS9 is affected from jitter , This unit might also . Wonder the ability of USB host work or not ( Unless the joying explains about the output capabilities about the Jitter amount introduced to the optical / Coax / USB outs. )

Try out Atoto head-units also. I own one and happy with it. I have the S8 Standard.

Looking at buying this unit. Can anyone answer a few question for me? 1. Can you view the rear camera from the menu screen while going down the road? 2. I have been reading that the pre-outs suck and especially the subwoofer pre-out. From what I am reading they 2 volts and sub-out is like .08volt. TEYES CC3 Android 10 OS Car Multimedia Head Unit, have you tested this head unit yet? It is supposed to be to go into any vehicle and with the add on 4 Camera set you are suppose to have a 360 degree view in real time around your vehicle along with the back up Camera. I'm not to tech savvy... I thought I was looking for mirror link.... but I have android 22plus ultra but no cords except the charger I want a unit that can duplicate my phone screen ,does this do what I'm looking for even if it's using my phones network data.... thats what I expected..

absolutely nothing premium about these units. they are cheap Chinese junk. they are ok for the price when they work. i've had many of them in different cars, some come with problems like no power coming out of amp remote wire on 2 different units and joying help was really unhelpful. the latest one i got has coax output that works really well with standalone dsp. its the only way to connect them to amps as their pre-outs are super weak at around 1v rather than standard 4v. But now after few years im having problems with coax output, after turning the car on in the morning, i get no signal out of it until i reboot the unit. i'm going to try reloading the firmware.

I bought one of these on your recommendation, but after using it for a few weeks now and after driving for about an hour with something simple on like Spotify it overheats so much it crashes 🤬 perhaps you should warn your subscribers about this🤔

No screws to install in a non vehicle specific model (universal)?? I just bought one and thought it was something that they should have provided being it is a universal unit being put in a double din opening.

So that's what we're using IDE cables for these days.

I'm a bit late to the party here, hope you see this question. I was wondering, what is the output voltage on the RCAs? I've read that most of the android HUs are quite low requiring you to increase the gains on your amps and risk inducing extra noise. I'm aware that there are plenty of different line drivers available, was just hoping I wouldn't need one if I purchased one of these units.

Thanks for all the great videos, I have watched most of them trying to decide on which Android head unit to go for, and I have two main concerns on buying an Android unit, one is the boot up time, as I get in and out of my van a lot, that doesn't seem to be an issue with this Joying and you seemed really impressed by its start up straight from the box. My second and main concern is battery drain, I have lots of Android phones and tablets around the house so I am well used to Android itself, but how do you overcome this common issue?, if an Android unit is just asleep its going to consume power, how do you overcome this issue, is it a case of turning the unit off completely when you leave the car for a period of time, or say every night, this main concern of mine is all that's holding me back from all the cool benefits of an Android head unit, cheers.

Data QUESTIONS: 1)Does this NON Android Car unit require a sim card? or 2)can my phone supply what it needs. 3) is there a monthly fee to connect through a sim card installed in the head unit? 4)will any Android Auto based unit use my phone and not a sim card? 5) can I use a cable to connect my phone? because my android phone doesn't do hotspot. If anyone can help me i would appreciate it. I'm trying to learn everything i can to make a choice that gets me what i want without another damn monthly bill.
