Wonderful video, have you checked the RAM utilization when the unit stutters? My Android unit would hiccup as the memory utilization would be high. I eventually decided to have my unit reboot on startup, freeing memory. Granted boot time was a few seconds longer but performance has been steady.
Joying support is pretty good send then an email with a picture of you current head unit version (somewhere in settings) and they'll email you a link for the latest firmware/update. I had one in my WRX and it was overall great. Yes i understand your annoyances and there can be work around for most. I actually preferred using the amplifier output to the digital as at the time i didn't have a conductor.
I have a Joying and I have had it for over 2 years now. It has had none of the issues you're having and all internal EQ and dsp functions will affect optical or digital coax out. There is either something wrong with your unit or you need to work on the settings. Mine has a perfectly flat response via either Optical or Digital Coax. You need to contact Joying and they will help.
For the stuttering, if it's CPU related, there is a system setting for CPU performance which might be worth trying. Default it's on "low" performance. Could the DTS be using a compression algorithm for virtual spatial positioning? Edit: I see in the end you used the CPU setting already. I only have very minor stutters on smooth, so it could still be smoother, I might try monitoring CPU processes to see what's hogging it.
Just got the head unit last week, my only huge complaint is the Bluetooth audio stutters occasionally as well. Noticed it doesn’t have when I am on a wired connection. Drives me nuts. Please let me know if u find a solution
My older Android 10 based Joying natively accepts resistance based steering wheel control signals. If your vehicle's steering wheel controls are analog, you should be able to wire it up without an adapter. If your steering wheel buttons are digital, then you would need an adapter. It's great being able to do things like play pause or skip to the next track from the steering wheel. I also use the up-down volume so I can pretty much operate my unit strictly from the steering wheel.
I have a new android 12 unit with the 9 inch screen, I have no stutters but I only use wireless android auto and the internal amp. After working good for 2 months, now a couple times it has skipped to the next track by itself, may be the unit, or may be an issue with a worn out steering wheel button. My main problem is the screen is too dim during the day even after going into locked options and setting to 100%, and no one else seems to have the same issue.
Outra coisa, o som no resultado final, ficou satisfatório ? Abraço, ganhou um inscrito 😉
For two weeks now i have also installed a Joying radio in my BMW E91. It replaced a Zenec radio which had strong background noise/interference. I specifically choose the version with a physical volume control on my radio because i suspected that volume controlling on the display would not be practical. Splitscreen works simply for me because there is an icon in the top right of the display and the rear camera works automatically as soon as i put the car into reverse. In general, i'm happy with it so far. There are countless setting options. But one thing bothers me, i only listen to music from a usb-stick. When i start the radio there is only one song in my music folder and it takes several minutes until all the songs are loaded and displayed :/
Same here, it takes a minute or two for the HU to read the USB stick. I would imagine a better option would be to have your songs in the internal memory.
@@RAW-CAt @RediMischa Just as an "FYI", using any of my Kenwood eXcelon Reference head units (even the older 2018 DDX9905S model), I have a portable 2.5" 2TB USB HDD connected to each of them via one of the two available USB inputs, and ALL of the songs on the drive are pretty much INSTANTLY available to Play or Search. It's the same when I use a 1TB USB thumbdrive. Units similar to this but one's that need to fully "index" or re-scan the connected USB memory storage device EVERY TIME they boot up or are turned on drives me crazy, LOL. From my research, for full functionality, you need to make sure to connect all of the appropriate wires in the harness to enable auto-camera switching, SWC, Display Dimmer, etceteras, and you can connect the optional ODBII module so that the head unit receives a lot more information from the vehicle's ECU and what state certain functions are in or if they are active at any given time. Maybe I missed it, but I would appreciate if you listed the exact Model # of these units in the Title or in the Video Description just so your viewers know which unit you are discussing and have a reference to compare apples-to-apples features and functionality when looking at other models. Cheers
Need to connect the reverse wire on the loom, if your car had a OEM back up camera the wire may be behind the head unit, if it didn't, you should try to find a wiring diagram for your vehicle. Locate the reverse switch on the transmission and trace it back. You can usually find a spot in its route back to the ECU that's convenient enough to splice in for the head unit. Make sure to test it with test leads before you cut anything😁
That doesn't seem crazy to me at all. The whole point of the digital output is to feed it into a DSP. Maybe this is the reason the digital output is so clean?
@RAW-CAt mine stutters on RU-vid music using optical output. I can see the screen stutter too. I've tried updating the app and reinstalling both to no avail.
@@RAW-CAt hey man can i ask you something? What is your opinion for the B2 audio riot 15v2 for infinite baffle?? Or an replacement for my Fi ib315v2 on the continental Europe? I’m stuck in datasheets and don’t want to spend a fortune on new woofers..
@@justkiddin1980 B2 makes spl subs for ported enclosures, not IB. People use Dayton drivers in IB as they are mostly designed for sealed home theatre applications.
This is gonna sound weird. But I saw you flip the conductor knob w your thumb. Just a heads up, conductor (and director) wear out super quick if you’re not careful. My first only lasted a year. So now I use a finger and thumb to be careful turning as much as I can remember too. And they charge like $200 for these crappy knobs. 😂
I bought one of their 9" headunits for my car and its a damn bad experience. to fix anything with this unit you have to do da reset on the front panel just for it to work with anything you add. They do a lot of false advertising and their customer service si the worst. they take no accountability for the false advertisements, they say camera or steering wheel controls work and they don't! the work on certain models even though the advertise as it works. You email them about the steering wheel controls and rear camera doesn't work , just like their advertisement says these things will work wit h the plug and play kit, and it only works with certain models and don't say this in the ad, even though they sell you a plug and play kit with these features. their answer to things not working is " you're not happy? return!' but what about all the money spent to install and run and hide antennas, and a secondary fee to uninstall the unit and shipping to return the unit to china. I would think twice about this company just because of the customer service and the quality of the unit is not the greatest. WiFi works when it wants to, its just not worth the money in my opinion.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zuiKgagO71Y.htmlsi=4k6jEiKKOXKm6pOf Easier to just share a video, than try to explain it in text. Split screen is a game changer!
I've been using it since the Android 10 units with Apple Music + Maps. Quite happy with the Android 12 implementation of it, it works quite intuitive usually.
@@RAW-CAta lot of times that's true, but in this case tell me a single head unit as good as the Sony and a lot cheapper ! Needs to have the same features: hi res player, ldac, really good signal etc. I looked and didn't find anything close. Maybe the Alpine Halo 11, but some guys told me that the Sony is alot better.
You want to meet up and talk about your problem w me. You dont have to be so shy. Why be this way to me. What s the problem why u hating on me u just be better than me
