Amazing video! It helped me soooo much! I do have 1 question though, with the SATA cable the you connected you fans to, is it 2 SATA cables or 1? And with the 4 pin connector, do you use 2 four pin connectors or just 1? Thanks!!
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 3 года назад
Thanks, glad it helped ;) SATA power cables come from your powers supply and yep, it was 2 of them - one is needed for powering RGB LED HUB, another one is needed for Lightning NODE PRO. Regarding 4pin fan PWM connectors - each fan will have one, so if you use 2 fans you will have 2 fan connectors that need to be plugged into motherboards fan headers. If you have 4, then 4. So be sure your motherboard has enough fan headers depending on how many fans you want to use. OR, you could get PWM splitter/hub, where you could connect all those fan connectors and you end up with 1 final connector you could connect to your motherboard. But most of the modern motherboard has like 4 - 7 fan headers so i guess you should be ok, but be sure you check first :)

@@EpicGameTech i have watched it a few times and i should probably refrase my sentence. I have bought the Phanteks p400a and it has to cables on previosly connected to the fans and the other kinda just hanging there what do i need them for?
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 4 года назад
Hmm, it's kind of hard to tell when I do not see/know what exact cables you have in mind. You should definitely check the Phantex P400A manual. P400A Digital version has 3 RGB fans so you definitely need to connect them to your motherboard RGB header and PWM header. Incase of P400A nondigital version you probably need to connect the fan header to your motherboard as well as there can be a sata power connector since there is a fan speed control on that pc case :) In most cases, all cables should be connected. But you can share a photo or etc. if you want so with the exact cables you had in mind, so I can check them :)

Thanks :) Regarding NZXT Aer RGB I actually had a chance to use them in one of the builds. Similar story with these fans - you have to use them with NZXT controller/hub and you can't use them/plug to a motherboards RGB headers (learned that in a hard way ;) To be honest, not sure if a review of NZXT Aer RGB will happen any time soon. Thank you for reviewing this LL Corsair Fans. May i please ask what is the difference between LL and QL Corsair Fans and which 1 is better? QL or LL ? Thank you and looking forward to your reply.
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 4 года назад
Hey, well they are a bit different. QL model has more LEDs (same LED ring as at the front of the fan) at the back of the fan - that means if you install fans to the front of the case you will get more illumination inside of the case with QL wans because of that additional LED ring :) Also, QL model is slightly louder (QL is 26 dBA while LL is 24.8 dBA). And QL is slightly more expensive :)

Ryzen 9 3900x or I9 9900k for gaming and editing thanks great video btw! And for editing whats the diffence?
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 4 года назад
Hey, thanks :) Let me give you an example from my experience :) I built my rig before I started more serious video editing. So I've got: i7-9700kf + GTX 1080 Ti + 32 GB ram. And it's a superb gaming machine - tons of fps, super performance (some games run even better on 9700k than 9900k). But when I started to do more serious video editing like ~5-6 months ago... ugh, tuff times for 9700kf CPU. And I constantly get lags when working with a few 4k video clips at once. Anyway, 9900k a bit faster + it has hyperthreading. And so it will be faster in video editing for sure. Depends on how serious your video editing is and what software you use (Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve?). I would say 9900k can handle both, gaming and video editing good. Sure, 3900x will be faster in heavy workloads and at the same time you are editing/exporting video you will be able to do other stuff with fewer lags for sure. Do not forget, that GPU also matters, especially if you are using Davinci Resolve since it can utilize NVIDIA Cuda cores and accelerate it a lot. So for Davinci, I would say GPU is almost as important if not more important than CPU (as we already discuss good CPUs anyway). Also, 9900k might be even more expensive than 3900x in the end. So why not mentioning Intel 10th gen in case you really want intel? Anyway, better value (including money/performance) for mixed workloads (gaming + video editing) is Ryzen 9 3900x. Since it's almost as good in gaming, better in heavy workloads and costs cheaper (cheaper MB/Cooling/CPU)

@EpicGameTech 4 года назад
Hey, nice specs :) My thoughts/suggestions would be: > I would definitely go for a better motherboard for Ryzen 9 3900x. This motherboards VRMS will get quite hot unless you will ensure good airflow over VRMs. Definitely go for b550 with 3900x - like MSI B550 Mortar or MSI B550 Tomahawk. But on the other hand - maybe it's worth it to get Ryzen 7 3700x (that is also quite a good CPU) and for saved $ get RTX 2080 Super? At least if a build would be focused more on gaming (70% gaming / 30 % video editing). The same suggestion would be even for video editing with Davinci Resolve. Though, in case you edit with Adobe Premiere Pro, you might stick with 3900x since it uses more CPU than GPU. > SSD 240GB - for such a build, I would definitely suggest getting 1 TB NVME SSD instead of 240GB sad + 1tb had combo. It will be quite the same price. And if you really need more storage like in 6 months or so, you will add 2 TB HDD. Check Crucial P1 1TB (amzn.to/2ZUr08X), ADATA XPG SX6000 1TB (amzn.to/3ec7BWp) or Western Digital Blue SN550 1TB (amzn.to/2ZcXZXe). >RAM - I would suggest getting 3600mhz ram for Ryzen 3000 series. And it will last longer in case you will decide to upgrade your CPU later on to Ryzen 4000. In case you want it with RGB and not that expensive, Patriot Viper RGB 16 GB DDR4-3600 CL17 (amzn.to/2Zcx9P1) will be quite faster and I guess not expensive bu much than the ones you mentioned above. > PSU - not sure what's the exact model, just to check what Tire PSU is that. But 750w is enough for sure even for future upgrades :) Hope it helps! :) P.s. I've used affiliate links above.

@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 4 года назад
Hey, Well, tuf decision :) While 3900x is better for editing, 2080 super will get better fps. What kind of software are you using for video editing? In case its Davinci Resolve I would go for 2080 super since it can utilize GPU Cuda acceleration and it will also benefit from faster GPU. So in Davinci case, I would go for 3700x + 2080 super. Why not 3800x? Since it's just a bit faster compared to a quite bigger price point. Most of the time I recommend 3700x or jump to 3900x since 3800x is not worth it. And saved $ from 3800x to 3700x can be used elsewhere, e.g. faster SSD (good for video editing), better monitor or more storage (especially if you edit 4k, storage gets filled very quickly :) P.s. in case you buy stuff from amazon, you could use affiliate links under my video. Are these fans quiet? I wanna buy one and I'm very picky when it comes to fan noise
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 3 года назад
Hey, Well, haven't measured dba of these fans vs other RGB ones. But they are more or less like many other RGB fans i assume. in general, then you want to get 140mm fans and not 120mm fans. Also, if you want the most quite fans, go for non-RGB bequiet (e.g. SILENT WINGS 3) or noctua fans. As these Corsair ones will be much nosier compared to bequiet :) Also, it depends on your fan curve e.g. how fast you set your fans to spin.
@ahmedhamdan2009
@ahmedhamdan2009 3 года назад
@@EpicGameTech I'm aware there is more quieter fans but I have a cooler master h500p case and I can't ignore how beautiful it looks with the RGB fans inside. I've called up my local PC store and they told me they are pretty quiet even when running a pretty high RPM.
@EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 3 года назад
Well, you know, consultants can tell you anything :) Anyway, you can check each fan manufacturer specs and most of them shows how many dba fans produces, so you could compare. @EpicGameTech
@EpicGameTech 3 года назад
Hey, yep, you need to use both for Corsair fans - " *RGB LED hub + lighting node pro* " as node pro is connected to your motherboard usb 2.0 header and only then you can control RGB :) OR instead of "RGB LED hub + lighting node pro" you can use one hub they cave called " *Commander PRO Smart RGB Lighting and Fan Speed Controller* " (www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/iCUE-CONTROLLERS/iCUE-Commander-PRO-Smart-RGB-Lighting-and-Fan-Speed-Controller/p/CL-9011110-WW). It's like both of these in one, as you can connect Corsair fans to Commander PRO and connect Commander PRO to your motherboard as well. But if you buy *Corsair LL120 "3 in 1" pack* , or *Corsair LL140 "2 in 1" pack* "RGB LED hub + lighting node pro" is included in these packs, so you do not need to purchase them separately :)

Hey, thanks :) Corsair LED hub is meant for connecting RGB/LED cable (Corsair only) only and controlling RGB lights. So it's not meant for connecting fan PWM cable for controlling fan speed. Even when using Corsair, their fan PWM cable needs to be connected to a motherboard (just like I showed here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fwn5mGPNS6g.html). Regarding ekwb vardar fans, you will have to connect their 4pin (or 3 pin) connector to a motherboard and you will be able to set/control their speed in your motherboards BIOS.
