In my first two scenarios I ran after years of not being a GM, I probably over-prepped and almost scripted my game. Naturally, my players went completely off-piste, threw curveballs and I ended up winging it. It worked but I didn't really find it satisfying. I did learn about not trying to be too proscriptive, though.

I definitely agree that music during games can detract from the whole experience. So many GMs seem to go overboard with that aspect of their campaigns if Reddit posts are any indication.
Yeah. A few Keepers I played with used music bots on Discord, and luckily you can turn it off for yourself. For me I just want to concentrate on the other player’s and Keeper’s voice, so when I play I don’t like having music/ambience. Just personal preference.
