Appreciate the video, going to continue watching part 2, but I love the attention you put into every detail here so far. And cool you guys are in Long Beach, I know someone out there that I visit once or twice a year; when I'm down there I'll have to stop on in--always needing one part or another lol. Thanks again for the demo
Hey Roger! Just a quick note to thank you for these videos - they are GREAT educational tools and I am using them as I do a complete rebuild on my ancient S Maxx (as Garry explained to me it's from 1999 or even earlier). I also want to thank Garry, Kevin and you for all the tech support RC Street Shop has given me (Those old shock towers!). Right on! Keep up the good work! THANK YOU!
They call this generation T-maxx - Traxxas Legacy models... what is quite cool, that it is still possible to get parts! almost 20 years later! Good luck with your build, we're happy to help!
Quick question, why would you take off the front bumper? Don't you need to see how the body will fit with it on and if it needs to be cut some for the bumper? Thanks
Sure, but first you take everything off, make holes, fir the body and then you trim the rest. Citing everything all at once, never works quite as planned....ask us how we know:)
And if your like me and paint first before punching the mounting holes 🤦🏻♂️, a dab of paint on top of each post and set the body on , then the paint will mark the hole positions. Nice video
When the weather clears up around here and we can make the time to setup outside to do it. We've been discussing it and I promise we have not forgotten it. :) Thanks for watching.
Then you either limited to what this manufacturer sells for it or you need to modify 1/10 body to make it fit (as there is no other off the shelve solution available).
Can you guys confirm IF i can put a Mini Clubman shell onto a Tamiya TF-01 Chassis which Originally came with a Porsche Cayenne S body on it. It is 1/10th scale and i have doubts in purchasing a shell if it cant be done. I friggin HATE Porsche's with a passion... they are too round and ugly so i want a car with Meaner street cred lines. Even if not a Mini Clubman... dwffo an early 80s Ford such as Escort, or even open to the idea of American Muscle truck.... just need to get rid of that AWEFUL Porsche shell.
