Thank you for another great video. It explains what you have done to my track when I have sent you my master as well - many people who played my song on larger systems mentioned the following: the song mastered by Streaky sounded amazing and the track played after my song was lacking something despite being one of the popular songs" - thank you once again although I did not intent to use the master that was but it works very well.
Great one. Thanks for your insights. Yes, so easy to make golden shiny things on top eg with the Clariphonic from Kush... only to recognize in AB... completely overdone :) I think mixing should already be a bit like mastering concerning the thought process. AB ing a lot and listen and compare a lot being able to judge the mixing decisions you actually make. Cheers
Hey don't know if you saw it in your other video, but this video topic is similar to one i requested. It was about when a mastering engineer needs to tell the mixer/producer that he needs to take his track back into the studio -- and how many times in your career did you have to do it. Although this video wasn't a direct topic, it indirectly answered a few things. Keep up the good work.
Loving the tips Streaky, very informative & useful! I saw on your website you mastered for Paul Van Dyk. Which record was it in particular & do you master every now & then Trance tracks? Cheers & looking forward to messaging you in the future
is there any advantage in exporting in higher sample rate than the recording? For example, if the tracks were recorded in 48khz, is it better to explort the master in 48khz or 96khz?
