Hello dear friend, I also have a Toyota Troopy 75 series. I used three-layer insulation for the floor. Of course, before that, I did a complete substructure and it turned out to be very high quality. I also used double-layer insulation on the walls, ceiling and inside the doors. Also, I de-rusted from under the room on the outside first, then I used wax paste and mummy spray in 5 layers and now the car is very quiet and strong and protected from any damage. I am in Iran.
Thanks! Here in Canada a lot of the rust on vehicles is caused by salt on the roads to melt snow and ice in the winter. What is a big cause of rust in Australia?
@All Terrain Trails There is a few reasons but its more the 75 series Ute's when the front fold down windscreen frames rust and leak. The rest is just build up of sand dirt and wet boots or moisture over time. Being vinyl floor it cant breath or dry easy during the cold or winter and stays damp longer. Plus the foot traffic rubs the vinyl floor cover on the metal floor which wears the paint away exposing the bare metal.
I had all of (floor, diff, chassis etc) the underneath of my Troopy glass bead blasted, red oxide paint, grey primer then everything coated with a high quality chassis/floor protection product Dinitrol. Do this job once and do it properly. Personally I would not trust a company doing it. As for sound deadning, once you have the floor in and all the cabinets, insulation in the side cavities etc it won't sound like a tin can...personally, and I mean personally, I think the sound deadning material is expensive and an unnecessary item..as are many so called "must have " items when kitting out a travel car. Keep up the build and look forward to the next one.

Thanks for watching! There is a company here in Canada that does a special under coating on the chassis and body. I’m thinking of taking it to them to have them apply products to prevent rust!
