a trip 4x4ing around Pemberton region is nice. A day trip to Lancelin dunes via ledge Point for a swim can be fun. Drinking beers around Freo. From Perth but been in the Territory and outback Qld. If your up these ways let us know
Dame, the sound track, the house, the car, the atmosphere, this is what i think of USA when i was young watching hollywood movies. Feel very cozy there. Not the New york city nowadays😂
Beautiful as always😊❤ So when you'll arrive in Germany? I could pick you up around Hamburg, and we'll have a Landcruiser-meeting/offroadcamping weekend in Oktober 😁 Greetings, Björn
What a great time you are going to have. Your Prado will be fine. The insurance you talk about would be property damage insurance. Compulsory third party is included in your registration (bodily injury). Ie if the car has current registration then you have current CTP. You can choose third party Property damage (covers someone else’s damage not yours) or comprehensive (covers both you car and other peoples property. I Would suggest getting comprehensive. You can cancel your insurance after you have sold your car so for the amount of time you are travelling it is trivial. You can generally also pay by the month. Make sure you get windscreen cover if you choose comprehensive insurance (it is a small cost extra bit worth it as replacement windscreens can be expensive especially in the outback) If you get up around Coober Pedy or even further up to Uluru, you could come back east via the Oodnadatta Track which is a great dirt road (only 400-500kms) and lots of old rail relics to see as well as the edge of Lake Eyre and some absolutely great outback pubs (William creek, Maree and Lyndhurst). If you have time (say 3-4 extra days) definitely detour to the flinders ranges. It’s awesome (I am assuming you are camping) Happy to help with other hints and places to see around if you dont mind advice from an old chook. 😎. I have had 3 Prados. They are great cars and the one you have chosen is bulletproof. None of the roads mentioned would be any trouble for a Prado. You would not need to engage 4WD just good to have the ground clearance. Hope it’s got all terrain tyres but even if it doesn’t just take it easy and you will be right. Re camping gear, Kmart isn’t a bad option for cheap stuff including tents. BCF and Anaconda are good for everything else. Kings is a cheap 4WD outlet that sells everything for not much. The quality can be a bit dodgey so have a good look. They have a good return policy but you need stuff just to work. Hope you have an awesome time.
Sadly the Lavina Firetower was taken by the Argenta Creek wildfire this year. I have been up there multiple times through the years it was a beautiful view of the surround valley. Just another reminder to get out and explore these sites before they are lost to time.
Great video just came across your channel and subscribed. Did this grey pass last year. Check out the meadow mountain rec site it’s a beauty trip up there. Also summer lake. We are in southwest Alberta now and will be heading for the island in a few days.
The only thing what is good for the soul, is driving a Troopy. My life would be less interesting without my Troopy. Yes it is. ❤❤❤ Greetings from Germany, TLC 78.
@@allterraintrails oh ok that’s cool never seen that before so it doesn’t have the 4wd gear selector in the car like new ones that’s how it was back in the day?? Crazy!!!
@@CuriousDils It has both the manual locking hubs and the 4x4 shifter in the cab! first you lock the hubs, then you pull the shift lever for 4H and 4L When the hubs are not locked, the front axles and the front differential will not spin as the vehicle is driven. In this way, less wear and tear is put on the front end drive components when the hubs are unlocked! hope this makes sense 😆
Watching all your videos from beginning so this comment is a little bit late in coming. It's my opinion of course but it sounds like you didn't want to sell because you put so much work into the one you already have but you did want to get rid of it (trade up/less or no rust) because you want to make this a home. I hope y'all did what you felt was best for the both of you. I guess I'll find out - see you in the future😊
Camp there a lot. Most of the mountains have just burnt from there up glacier creek and rumour has it that lavina lookout has also burnt in another fire. Lavina has burnt. Only concrete blocks left.
That is a different view ( drone) from the edge of Trout Lake, there are a few good spots around there ;) enjoy that area it's so beautiful, it's our favorite go to area when we get that way from AB.
great video! thanks for sharing! you mentioned "nearest/local forest service road" a couple times, can you just search "forest service road near you" and is that effective ?
Great video! I would only recommend not removing coal from the fire pit to cook off to the side only to prevent any accidental forest fires keep it all in the fire pit they do have equipment that can be used to cook over a fire pit
