Check out his website. It’s not cheap but his lessons/tennis camps are surprisingly affordable. There’s a few different packages I was checking out. Very cool. Unfortunately for the unvaccinated we cannot travel to the USA or can we play in most tournaments.

Nobody uses the closed stance and step into the ball anymore. Even though this coach is well-known, he is not giving these players the best techniques. Run away from this guy and don't watch his videos..😳
Most important thing for a coach is this: find the mistakes in what the student is doing...THEN you can teach him/her, how to avoid it....Patrick is superb in this field.... I saw plenty of other coaches simply throwing a ball at their students and wanting them so ply them back, with no hint how they can improve their game.....not here. Learned a lot by watching and listening to his videos....

I don't agree that on the forehand you always should have the weight on the left leg before you hit (if you are right-handed). That is not what the pros do. If you watch e.g. Federer, on the forehand he has the weight on rhe left leg maybe on 30% of his strokes only. On the backhand on nearly 100%. What is a tipp worth that is not realized by the best players in the world? It possibly might ruin your stroke!
Great job on correcting his form. He was so used to his back-center weight balanced fh, but you slowly guided him to the correct forward weight transfer. A lot of players mentally & physically can’t let go of their prime weapon. Some even insisting it’s better than what you are teaching them even if they know you are a renowned coach, that if you try to correct it they will automatically reject it.
Yo Patrick Get some inserts for your feet. The kind you put in the oven & mold to your feet while warm. Started having same problem around 55 . Teaching for 50+ years now, no problems for the last 20 years..:>) I recognized your limp....
I am obviously not Patrick but in my humble opinion I would focus on exercising your abdominal muscles with combination of rotational exercises such as russian twists, side crunches, etc and also doing flat exercises like situps, leg raises, crunches and so on. Hope that helps.
He looks scared. You can see fear in the eyes of these people who wear masks. Thinking a piece of cloth over their face does anything to protect them. It’s very very sad how these people have been brainwashed & scared to death by the msm
@@brianb336 I think he is one of Patrick’s assistants. Needless to say these videos are golden. The only other coach I take cues from is Rick Macci. Don’t watch any others. Both compliment each other. Other than skill level & fitness the mental IQ in tennis is completely overlooked. I watch Patrick’s videos every day. Just amazing information.

.. no player should practice hitting one ball early, one ball late?? Seriously, what is the point of that? Nonsense - each ball must be played at optimum timing and position. You do not deliberately introduce 'faulty' practice concepts - this is not the purpose of training - the other coach should call him out and question this.
If you transfer weight properly vs relying on arm strength, your back foot has a tendency to move forward from the swing momentum unless you're rooted down with flexible knees to absorb it.
Won't a flatter ball be better in certain situations as it is traveling faster thru space from point A to point B. I'm thinking if you want to end a rally and say move around your BH to hit inside in FH down the line to a fast opponent or a hard crosscourt FH to zoom it thru the court?
I’m gonna miss his slanted, leaning back a bit forehand. It looked so funny 😅. Like someone leaning on a wall about to ask you for your number, but you say nah.
My take away and most important tips with all his videos is hand speed acceleration ! The second is early take back preparation for the forehand and backhand. Accelerate the hand as the ball bounces ! And follow the ball after the hit with the body.
Yes. Hand acceleration here is being used as a coaching quick fix and not a sustainable way to strike the ball for many recreational players. Hand acceleration should arise from rotational motion and relaxed wrists.
Notice how PM does all the talking non-stop - he does not allow any interaction from the other coach and neither is there much vocal interaction from the student. Note the points that Patrick talked about and now go to check some proper tennis coaching videos on the forehand and leg-drive that references how professional players, such as Federer hit their forehands - they drive from the outer leg and rotate the hips just as the student has already been playing - nothing wrong with his shoulder or follow-through. Patrick makes things up and pretends to correct them - he even has the audacity to try and teach the other coach using his false evaluation. Watch carefully - the student never hits late or hunches his shoulder - he correctly drives off the outer right leg which is correct for a right-handed player (watch videos of professional players) - PM never uses pro videos to substantiate what he claims to teach.

I know Lennon Jones is aged 17 now but how long has he been training at the Mouratoglou Academy? I'm only asking because it beggars belief that at aged 17, he needs to be taught the basics of the "modern" Tennis forehand !
@@jdtcharactergirl No assumptions. He has been at Mouratoglou academy for at least the past three years. They have a video of him on their facebook page at age 14. He won the Orange Bowl at 12 so presumably, they signed him on soon after that.
Lol, the principles are good, but communication could be simplified by saying: push off/drive your right foot sooner to meet the ball. And the coach calling out "set... (when the shot is coming) Hit... (when the player should push off)" to correct timing.
Helpful, but Patrick talks way too much. Why isn’t the man in white allowed to get a word in, to show comprehension, agreement, question. He stands there, fully controlled by a mask and totally submissive. It is all about Patrick. He needs to let others speak.
So you figured out he is left eye dominant? Keeping head still is a whim, it's not fundamental. And it has nothing to do with eye dominance of course. But ok, the truth varies wildly in these videos.
I personally dont like when you accelerate the hand to much....yes it gives you more spin ---> more control cause of the higher "courve" over then net.... but its heavier for the body and the timing is more difficult. Best advice for this young adult was to get more rotation and try get the bodyweight towards the net----> dominant should more in front. Nice drill " 1 normal and 1 on the rise" ! When you play vs the best in the world or just for the reality check vs a Pro beginner ( 1-10 ATP points), the rpm from the ball isnt that high in the normal rallies. Of course when you get to hit on the defensive position you can hit more with spin. The main difference is that the pros hit so much more balls on the rise(less spin) than a normal-mortal tennisplayer. They taking away so much time from you that you can only react and that with nearly none easy mistakes. Still love your content
Well problem was that the kid was “controlling” his shots with a slow arm & poor weight transfer. While you can do this to win points, he is never using his full power/potential. By teaching him the correct weight transfer & that he could control the points by spinning even harder & faster he has turned a “control/safe” shot into a very powerful & still safe shot. You would probably hate to play this kid now when his safe shot is as good as his winners. This can potentially bring him to the pro level. While there are many ways to win a point on the pro level, this is probably the most important of them all. A friend once told me, top spin is the greatest force in tennis.
